A.N.- Well, here I am, offering my two bits to the challenge board. Hm..I do so love this challenge.

Minerva McGonagall awoke with a start, looking around at the room that was not hers, with a pair of strong, warm arms around her.
She turned and realized saw with a start who the arms belonged too.
She must have fallen asleep during their in his office, and he hadn't wanted to wake her.
How sweet of him. Minerva really didn't want to leave, but she knew she had to. She simply laid in Albus' arms for a few seconds, enjoying the feel of his arms on her, before turning around and getting up.
"Albus.." she whispered softly to the sleeping figure.
She stroked the hair off of his face and whispered: "I love you more than anything, my darling."
He did not move, he was still fast asleep.
Minerva picked up her shoes, which she found sitting next to the bed, and slipped them quickly onto her feet, trying forget how good it felt to tell him, how wonderful it was to have his arms wrapped about her....
She had to stop thinking like that.
Minerva turned her back to the man she loved and walked out the door, whispering softly into the musty castle air: "If only you knew how much you meant to me.."

In his rooms, Albus had awoken to the quiet closing of a door. He realized Minerva must have woken up and left.
"If only she had stayed.." he whispered to himself.
"If only you would give her reason to." replied his mirror waspishly.
