A/n: This story is co written with Rikki and it is a Jean Brodie story. The dialogue at the beginning of this story was taken from the film Miss Jean Brodie and we have adapted a scene, which we both loved and wondered what happened after it. ;D This story does have a lemon so you have been told ;D
“That night at the studio… That one night at the studio… I was pleased to feel it was I who enjoyed the tutorial position. Come back, Jean. I need you.” Teddy said, looking at her lovingly. Jean turned to face him – and then their lips finally met again. It was a passionate kiss, full of longing. Her arms went around his neck and pulled him closer. For some blissful moments Jean forgot about the classroom surrounding them, her gals and her life as a teacher and just savoured the love she felt for the man in her arms. Until she slowly realized that they weren’t alone anymore.
Reluctantly she opened her eyes and gazed to the door while still kissing Teddy. What she saw there made her heart miss a beat; she pushed away from Teddy hurriedly and gasped. Mary McGregor stood in the doorframe, with eyes large as saucers and completely shocked.
“M…m…m…” the girl tried to say something but with that situation her stuttering was worse than ever.
Jean moved to the girl, looking angry. “Mary McGregor! Mary McGregor, do you know what happened to Peeping Tom?” The girl shook her head, horrified.
“His eyes were shrivelled into darkness in his head and dropped before him!” Jean said, pointing to the floor in front of the girl. Mary turned sharp on her heels and fled from the room, panicking.
Jean closed the door and leaned against the wall for support. She hadn’t wanted to frighten the girl but she was so angry that Mary had seen them in that rather…private moment.
“Poor old Tom.” Teddy grinned. He seemed more amused by the fact that one of their students had just caught them kissing in the classroom.
Jean took another deep breath and covered her eyes with her hand. Why did Mary have to come in? Why did this have to happen? It wasn’t that she felt embarrassed much – she didn’t fear for her gals to gossip. But the mere fact that Mary had seen them … made that kiss even more real to her.
Teddy walked over to her. “Don’t worry, Jean. You’ve got your girls well trained. You’re safe from that quarter.” He moved closer to her, leaning on his arm against the wall and trapping her. She moved her hand away from her eyes and raised her head to meet his gaze.
“It’s me you’ve got to worry about.” He looked at her lovingly. “Come to the studio. Come to pose again. – Only to pose…” He searched her face for an answer but she turned away from him.
“Teddy … I…” She turned to face him again, only to find him standing right behind her. He put his hand on her shoulder, caressing her lightly with his thumb. Helplessly she looked at him. Oh how desperately she wanted to go to the studio, and not just to sit for him to paint her. But how could she? He was married. Married to another. But on the other hand he made her so happy, made her feel so alive.
“Jean, please.” He moved still a little closer and took her in his arms. She was shivering. He pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.
“What is it, darling?” he whispered in her ear, unconsciously using that loving term for her.
“Teddy,” she said pushing him away for the second time within a matter of seconds “we can’t. I am teacher, first, last and always. I am dedicating my prime to my gals and no one else, they deserve the best I can give.”
“Damn, your prime Jean!” he answered back, his voice raised slightly “It means nothing if you don’t make use of it. Can you tell me you are happy, can you look into my eyes and tell me that your life is perfect?”
She glared at him with icy blue eyes, how dare he question her like this! How dare he pry into her life! Had she ever demanded things from him! She walked away from him and put a desk between them so he couldn’t pounce on her unexpectedly. In all her years she had walked the planet, no one had ever questioned her happiness and no one had the right too especially Teddy Lloyd.
“Why don’t you question your own happiness Teddy,” she replied “You know nothing of my prime so wipe that smirk off your face!”
Teddy continued to smile at her, he had questioned his own happiness over and over again for years and had only found it with her. He felt that he had spent the whole of his life waiting for that moment when life couldn’t be any better, that moment had come one night in his studio as he painted and then made love to Jean Brodie. He knew he broke down her defences that night, he knew that he was her first lover and he loved teaching her the purest and oldest form of love. He had been surprised when she had whispered into his ear that she had never been with a man, he had presumed that she had been from the way she spoke and her whole demeanour. She had loved or so she thought, been kissed and embraced by boys and men in the past but had never let things get out of control until she met him.
“I am happy when I am with you,” he told her “why can’t you be honest with yourself for a change Jean. Why do you deny yourself the pleasures that you so desperately crave?”
“Why do you think I deny myself any pleasures?” She looked at him challengingly. “Why do you think I have been happy with you?”
He stepped around the desk, once again seeking her touch. Carefully he rested his hand on her cheek. “Because I saw it in your eyes,” he simply said. And it was as simple as that. When he had seen her façade breaking down he also saw the woman behind that mask – the woman who longed for love and security. And when he had made love to her, slowly and tenderly, he had seen that she felt loved and secure then.
She leaned into his touch, enjoying the closeness of his body, though she had just fled from it. But what did she want? At the moment she was confused. Part of her wanted to be with Teddy, wanted to regain that feeling of love and passion that she had had when they had made love – or afterwards when they had lain together, just holding each other. But then again there were her gals. They depended on her…

“But… my gals…” She looked at him, desperately searching for an answer to the unspoken question. Could she really enjoy her life, be truly happy for the first time and still be able to give them everything they needed? Her guidance and her knowledge?
Teddy put his index finger on her lips and silenced her. “Your gals will be just fine. And I’m sure they won’t mind you being happy.” He smiled at her, circling her waist with his arms and brushing his lips over hers.
When he broke the contact she smiled back at him but stepped away nonetheless. “Please, Teddy, don’t rush me. I need to think about that.” She looked at him apologetically, not really wanting to push him away but at that moment she just couldn’t do anything else.
Teddy saw her inner turmoil and just nodded. He knew when to give up – at least for the moment. He would never really give up on Jean Brodie, he knew that. It had taken him long enough to realize that she was the one who could make him truly happy, who made him feel alive. Every touch of her – though insecure at first – had set his body on fire, every whispered word of love had left a mark in his soul.
“Okay, Jean. I’ll leave you for now. Think about. But I won’t let you deny yourself happiness. You deserve to be happy just like everyone else. Remember that.” With that Teddy turned and left the classroom.
Jean let out her breath. It had been a rather close call. And what made Teddy think she wasn’t happy? She had everything she needed, a job and her gals… Jean closed her eyes and laughed. How could that be all she needed? Certainly her job was quite fulfilling, especially with her special gals and the weekly excursions they made. But wasn’t there more to life than just that? What would happen when Jenny, Sandy and the others left school?
Teddy was right. Who was she trying to fool? When she was younger she had dreamed of a family and children… with Hugh. But Hugh had fallen on Flanders’ fields – he’d never come back. And then… well she was attractive, so men were quite interested in her. She had dates, was kissed by some of them, but had never fallen in love. Until she had met Teddy Lloyd. He was… different. When they first met she felt attracted to him but after a while that developed into something deeper.
Jean sighed. So Teddy was right. She wasn’t happy. Cupping her face with her hands she sat down. Somehow that man had managed to turn her world upside down, and just when she had managed to get everything in order again he brought new confusions.
After taking a deep breath she decided it would be best to try and sleep about it. Perhaps tomorrow it wouldn’t be so confusing anymore. Perhaps tomorrow she would know what to do with her life.
Jean planned a nice relaxing evening out in her mind as she rode her bicycle home; she wanted her thoughts to be about Italy and other places that suited her artistic temperament. She didn’t want to think about her gals, Teddy or anything else that would make the situation real. She got home and ran a hot bath and pouted in the lavender bath essence that she had treated herself to only a week before, she poured herself a glass of red wine. She made her way into her bedroom and undressed, wrapping a warm flannel dressing gown around her lithe frame. She loved the feel of this particular dressing gown against her skin; she always wore it when she was feeling rather vulnerable though she would never admit that to anyone. She wandered into the bathroom and was about to disrobe when a knock on her door was brought to her attention, she cursed to herself as she tightened the tie around her waist. She wondered if one of her gals had popped by for some crumpets and tea, she would be able to politely tell them that she had a headache and they would be on their way. They were good gals and they were her gals. She opened the door and was surprised to see the person she least expected to see.
“Gordon!” she gasped
“Hello Jean,” replied the choirmaster as he took in her appearance “Have I disturbed you?”
“Well no,” she answered, “I was just going to climb into a bath.”
“Well I won’t be keeping you long Jean.” He told her as he walked into her flat and sat down in the nearest chair.
Jean looked at the open door and then at Gordon before shutting the door. She made her way over to another chair and looked at him. She wondered what he was doing there, he had never visited her out of the blue like this before and she felt rather uncomfortable. She suddenly had an awful thought, what if he was there because Mary had blabbed what she had walked in on and he was here to find out the truth.
“What can I do for you Gordon?” she asked, flashing him a smile in hope that it may better his mood.
“Well…” he began but was interrupted by another knock on the door.
Jean sighed inwardly to herself and rose to answer the door, all she wanted was some peace and quiet so she could relax and think but it seemed obvious that the heavens didn’t want that for her. She had no idea who it was who had knocked on her front door but she knew she wanted to get rid of them and then Lowther so she could sink into her bath and wash away all her troubles. She panicked slightly when she opened the door and came face to face with Teddy.
“Hello Jean.” Teddy looked at her, taking in her attire with a raised eyebrow. When she didn’t make any motion to let him in he looked past her and saw Gordon Lowther sitting there, being slightly uncomfortable.
“What are you doing here?” he said heatedly, pushing past Jean. She merely sighed and closed the door, dreading what was about to come now. It was obvious that Teddy didn’t like the idea of Gordon being here.
“I … I just… I just wanted to say hello.” Gordon answered defiantly, rising from his chair. “And why should that be your concern anyway?” Looking at his colleague quizzically he moved to stand next to Jean.
“That’s none of your business. But I don’t want you to play with Jean. She deserves better than that.” Teddy was really angry now. The nerve of that man! The whole school knew about his dates with the chemistry teacher.
Jean looked from one man to the other in silence. What did Teddy say about Gordon playing with her? Sure, she had spent quite some time with him at his estate, and he had courted her. But still Jean wasn’t sure what Teddy had meant with that remark.
“What do you mean by that?” she looked at Teddy enquiringly.
“Jean, please.” Gordon wanted her to stop that discussion. He was aware of what Teddy had implied with that. And to some extend it was true. He was looking for a wife… among his colleagues, and the only candidates were Jean and Miss Lockhart.
“Why don’t you tell her the truth? That you go out with Miss Lockhart as well?” Teddy said cruelly, knowing that it would hurt Jean.
Jean looked at Gordon incredulously. She couldn’t believe what she’d just heard. Though she had never loved Gordon Lowther it was hard to believe that he had just used her.
“Yes, maybe that’s true. But at least I don’t just follow her like a love sick puppy while I have a wife at home.” Gordon replied angrily.
Jean covered her eyes. That was just too much. The day had already been bad enough without that. She felt a motion next to her and when she looked she saw that Teddy had stormed out of her flat.
She felt anger rising in her. How could Gordon treat Teddy like that? Didn’t he have any self-respect? It was already bad enough that he had used her like some … piece of clothing that you can exchange but he shouldn’t have insulted Teddy. In that moment Jean realized that she really loved Teddy Lloyd, more than anything else. She knew that nothing else mattered now, but Teddy’s feelings, for her and in general. And she wouldn’t allow some wanna-be singer to insult him.
“Out,” she said quietly. “Get out of my flat and out of my life.” She stomped over to Gordon, grabbed his arm and yanked him towards the door. “How dare you, insulting Teddy like this?” Pushing him out of her apartment she closed the door and sank to the floor, leaning against the wall and sobbing. How could she love a man already married to another woman? She didn’t know how she could deal with the entire problem connected with these circumstances but she knew she had to go to Teddy and talk to him.
But not today. Tomorrow she would go to his studio and talk to him. Slowly Jean walked back to the bathroom, taking off the robe and sinking into the hot water. It was relaxing and comforting at the same time, and the lavender essence would help her calm down and sleep later on.
The next morning she rode to school and ignored Gordon Lowther as he tried to speak with her, she couldn’t quite believe the nerve of the man. She would show him that Jean Brodie was not a woman to toy with but that would wait till another day, she wanted to find Teddy and sort out the mess yesterday had caused. She made her way through the quiet halls of Marcia Blaine and headed for the art room, she found Teddy bent over his desk scribbling on a piece of paper.

“Teddy!” she said softly as she walked in and closed the door
“Jean,” he replied without looking up from what he was doing “what can I do for you?”
“Thank you for standing up for me yesterday,” she told him as her perched on his desk “I had no idea what was going on but why didn’t you tell me before?”
“I wasn’t absolutely sure,” he said looking up at her, his brown eyes catching her blue ones “I didn’t intend to blurt it out like that.”
Jean smiled at him, she was touched by his concern for her honour and she wondered if the rest of the staff knew what was going on. She was probably being laughed about behind her back but she didn’t care, Gordon Lowther had been trying to get her to marry him for months but she had always declined. She had used him but she was surprised that he had gone somewhere; he had told her he loved her and if she wouldn’t marry him then he would find someone else but that hadn’t stopped him from sleeping with her. Teddy Lloyd was the man for Jean, he was married but love knows no bonds. It was time to stop denying herself.
“I want to thank you,” she said softly
“You already have Jean.” He answered with a boyish grin that made her heart beat faster.
“Teddy,” she said with a small laugh “Can you come for lunch on Saturday?”
“Why Jean Brodie,” he replied with another grin “are you asking a married man for a date?”
“It seems that way but the offer won’t last for long,” she warned, “So you had better give me an answer.”
“Yes!” he simply said
Jean cast him one more smile before sliding off the desk and exiting the classroom, but before she shut the door she gave him the time she expected him. She knew exactly what she wanted to do on Saturday; she would cook him a homemade meal. She would make his taste buds explode and make him want more before encouraging him to dance with her. She knew that he was not usually one for dancing but she hoped that she could convince him; in fact she was sure she could convince him.
On Saturday morning Jean woke up with a distinct feeling of excitement. She felt a bit silly that she was so nervous about today but then again she really wanted to make it up to Teddy – and she him how important he was to her.
So Jean inspected her kitchen for ingredients for Lunch… She had thought about the meal rather long and had finally settled for spaghetti and meatballs. Not very romantic but she liked the Italian cooking. The dish was probably new to Teddy who hadn’t been to Italy yet but she was sure he would like it.
Finding all ingredients in her cupboards she started preparing lunch. Teddy would be here in about two hours so she had enough time to cook the food and then choose a nice outfit that would sweep Teddy off his feet. And that’s exactly what she intended. It had been way too long that she had denied herself love, and even though Teddy was still married to Deirdre they would find a way to make this work. They both deserved to be happy.
With the food ready Jean disappeared into her bedroom, looking for a nice dress to wear. Since this was supposed to be a special occasion she opted for something more revealing than usual, a burgundy red dress, plainly cut, with a low cut cleavage. After applying a hint of make-up she took another look at her appearance in her bedroom mirror before going to the living room to set up the table. She had bought some roses and placed candles in the middle of the table before getting out her best china.
When she was done with that she glanced nervously at her watch. She had another few minutes before Teddy should arrive so she decided to check out her music collection for later. She wanted to dance with Teddy; something slow and sensual would be in order then. She flipped through her albums and found a jazz album she was actually rather fond of. It contained several of her favourite songs – very slow songs, so perfect for a dance between lovers.
Jean jumped a little when the doorbell rang. She had been daydreaming about dancing with Teddy but now she saw that he was perfectly on time.
She went to the door and opened. “Hello, Teddy,” she smiled, kissing him lightly on the cheek. Teddy looked at her with a raised eyebrow and a grin.
“Hello, Jean,” he said, handing her a beautiful red rose and entering her flat. She blushed slightly.
There was an awkward pause while each waited for the other to say something. Teddy looked around her apartment curiously, he had only visited her apartment once and that had been when Gordon had been there so he hadn’t had the chance to explore her personal space. Jean took a deep breath and motioned for him to go to the living room.
“Have a seat. What would you like to drink? Some red wine?” she asked from the kitchen where she started handling the food.
“Yes, please.”
A couple of minutes later they were both seated opposite each other at her living room table. Teddy looked at the spaghetti curiously. “What exactly is that?” he asked, pointing at his plate.
“Spaghetti and meat balls. I thought you might like to try some Italian food.” She smiled wickedly while she showed him how to handle the long noodles. Teddy gave a small laugh and tried it himself, failing miserably. He looked at her so helplessly that she had to laugh.
“Oh wait.” She moved her chair over to his side of the table and rolled some of the spaghetti on his fork. He watched her every move until she raised the fork to his mouth. He opened it and she fed him the spaghetti.
They had done that a couple of times when Teddy decided he wanted to give it another try. Clumsily he rolled the fork in the spaghetti to get some on it and then raised it to Jean’s mouth. She smiled but opened her mouth to let him feed her this time but it hadn’t worked as he had intended. An especially long noodle was dangling out of her mouth.
He looked into her eyes and just picked the end of the noodle up, starting to eat it. Their heads came closer and closer together until their lips finally touched in a tender kiss.
They sat there for the longest time, kissing and nibbling and enjoying the touches, the food forgotten on the table. “Let’s dance, Teddy,” Jean said, looking at him pleadingly.
“But there’s no music,” he pointed out, never taking his eyes off her. Quickly she got to her feet and started the music she had selected earlier. Soon the room was filled with the warm sounds of a saxophone. Jean extended her hand to him and was glad when he accepted.
Teddy took the Jean’s slender frame into his arms, resting his chin on her head and inhaling her scent deeply. It felt good to hold her so close. Jean moved as close to him as possible, circling her arms around his neck. She felt his hands on her back, caressing her lazily. They moved in perfect unison, slowly and sensually following the rhythm of the music.
“So you do dance!” she whispered into his ear
“Only with you!” was his whispered reply
She smiled softly and nuzzled into his neck as they dance in silence to the music, no words were needed at the moment because the moment was beautiful. Neither of them thought of anything else apart from each other, there was for words either because they were together or that’s what meant the most to Jean. Teddy ran his hands up and down her back, pressing her to him and took in her scent. He aware of the faint lavender but there was something else, he thought it might have been honey but he wasn’t so sure. He pressed his lips against her c=soft creamy skin and hummed along with the music, he closed his eyes and relished the feel of her in his arms. The music finished but they didn’t pull away from each other, they simply clung to one another not wanting to let go.
“Jean!” said Teddy breaking the silence
“Yes Teddy?” she answered as she looked up at him
“Let me show you my love again!” he said as he looked into blue eyes and smiled
Jean looked back into his brown eyes and saw the love reflecting in his eyes, she knew she needn’t been afraid anymore. She should open herself up to be loved and Teddy was the man she wanted to love her. She lent forward and brushed her lips against his, cupping his cheek with her hand as they kissed.
“Let me show you my love as well!” she said as she pulled back from the kiss and dropped her hand to his hand and led him towards her bedroom.
Without saying a word, Jean led Teddy through her flat and into her bedroom. Teddy was taken back by her bedroom; he hadn’t expected it to be like this. He had expected it to be bold with rich colours, reds and oranges but instead it was in creams and ivories. With thick ivory muslin drapes hanging at the windows with slight detail on the hems of them, scenes of romantic Italy hung on all four walls of her bedroom. The grand four-poster bed dominated the room and Teddy had to control the urge to pick her up and throw her on the bed so he could ravish her. Jean watched with amusement as she watched him look around her room, she had realised long before he had come for dinner that he would be surprised with the calmness of her bedroom. This room was her escape where she could be her true self and not the bold and brash Jean Brodie he knew at Marcia Blaine.

“Teddy!” she whispered as she took both his hands and led him to the bed
“Jean, are you sure you want this?” he asked, he needed to be sure of her feelings “You won’t run from me again.”
“I have given up on running from you Teddy,” she told him, she truly meant that and she hoped he would believe her.
The words were enough for Teddy and together with the look in her blue eyes; he knew that he held Jean Brodie’s heart. He swept her up into his arms and carried her the short distance from where they had been standing to the bed; he dropped her on the bed where she landed with a soft bounce. He sat on the bed beside her as she laid down looking up at him, his hands moving up and down her clothed body. He watched as she closed her eyes and smiled at his familiar but long over due touch, she pressed his body up against his hands to make it known that she wanted this and that he was doing all the right things. He lay down beside her and pulled her on to her side so they were facing one other; he brought his hand up and traced her soft lips with one of his fingers. She let him touch her lips for a moment before she playfully took his finger into her mouth and twirled her tongue around it, that simple but seductive move created heat in Teddy’s trousers that he knew that would be calmed by her later on that night. Her dainty fingers began to unbutton his shirt slowly, exposing his chest her and letting her hands dance over the smoothness. He shuddered at her touch; he had dreamt of this moment since the night at the studio and he craved her more now then he had at the studio. His own hands moved up her slender frame and began to rid her of the dress she was wearing, with each exposure of her soft creamy skin; Teddy melted and licked his lips. He planted soft kisses on her skin as he pulled her dress from her body; he straddled her and looked down so he could admire the view of the goddess beneath him.
“You are beautiful Jean!” he told her
“And you still remarkably over dressed!” she replied with a smile, her cheeks were flushed with excitement and desire.
“You will just have to do something about that, darling.” He said as he lent forward and kissed her deeply.
While their tongues danced together Jean’s hands wandered over Teddy’s body, tearing at the offending material that still covered way too much of it. Impatiently she opened more buttons of his shirt and grazed his skin with her fingertips. He moaned a little when she reached a particularly sensitive spot.
Soon Teddy’s shirt and trousers had joined Jean’s dress on the floor. Only in their underwear they lay next to each other, panting lightly and looking at each other. Teddy smiled. How long had he dreamt of that moment – to feel her body close to his again, flushed with desire.
“I love you, Jean.” He whispered against her neck while his hands ran about her body, teasing her breasts through the fabric of her bra. She moaned and arched her back to get him to touch her more but he enjoyed it too much to give her that satisfaction yet. Instead he moved over her and covered her mouth with his again. His tongue traced her bottom lip lovingly while his hands massaged her breasts. He could feel her nipples harden at his administrations. Smiling against her lips he moved further down her neck, applying butterfly kisses to her neck, stopping to lick her pulse. When he reached her breasts he kissed them gently through the fabric before opening her bra.
“God, you’re perfect,” he whispered before occupying himself with her nipples. Jean wasn’t able of coherent speech anymore, she was aware that he had said something but couldn’t distinguish his words anymore. He moved her tongue agonizingly slowly over her nipple, swirling and licking, while his hand teased the other one. Jean’s hand roamed over his back while she arched her body in his touch. A couple of times she tried to push him further down to pay attention to the centre of her desire but he always resisted, taking his time with her.
Slowly Teddy moved further down her body while never stopping massaging her breasts. He placed soft wet kisses on her belly and followed her legs, deliberately ignoring her centre. “Oh, Teddy, please.” Jean moaned. She writhed under his administrations. If Teddy continued at this pace she didn’t know how much more she would be able to take.
“Patience, my love,” he muttered softly against her skin, his breath causing her to shiver. He smiled softly when he took a look at her flushed face, with her eyes closed. Her fingers clutched the bedclothes in pleasant agony.
“No, please. I need you. Now!” Jean’s voice was pleading when she raised her hand to pull him to her face. She kissed him hungrily and positioned herself under him, swaying her hips seductively against him. She smiled lightly when he moaned, his hardened desire obvious against her thigh.
“Make love to me, Teddy.” She urged him, placing her legs around his hips. Teddy’s mouth crushed on her while he entered her in one swift stroke. He gave her a moment to adjust before he started moving insider her. Together they reached a height of pleasure he hadn’t thought possible. Now that Jean had accepted her feelings for him it was even more intense then the first time they had made love.
Moments later both reached their orgasms, calling out the name of the other. Collapsing on top of Jean Teddy sighed her name happily. Jean caressed his back lazily.
When he finally rolled over to lay next to Jean Teddy realized that she had tears in her eyes. Worried he raised his hand and stroked her cheek. “What is it, darling?” he asked, cradling her in his arms.
“Nothing. I’m just happy,” she said smiling.
“So am I.” Teddy replied, thinking about the recent events. Finally he was able to hold the woman he loved close – and show her just how much he loved her. He just hoped it would work out. His wife was still there but he was sure they would find a solution. The most important thing now was their love.
Jean cuddled closer to Teddy, closing her eyes and inhaling his scent. It felt good to have him so close – finally. She knew that it was her own fault that she had denied herself the pleasures and love this wonderful man held for her. Suddenly she sobered. “When will you have to leave?” she asked. Teddy frowned. He didn’t want to leave Jean but he had to go back to his wife. At least for today. “Not right now. I’ll stay a little longer.” He kissed Jean on the temple.
Jean sighed. She knew that Teddy would have to go back to Deirdre. She was his wife after all. But perhaps… “Oh, Teddy. What are we going to do?” Propping herself up on her elbow she looked at him. She was sure he didn’t really want to go but there was no other possibility at the moment. And since he was a member of the Catholic Church he wouldn’t be able to divorce.
“I don’t know my love. But I’ll find a solution. I promise. I won’t ever let you disappear from my life again.” Teddy pulled her close and kissed her soundly. She settled back into the warmth of his embrace. Slowly both fell asleep, comforted by the knowledge that the other one was there.
