For the first time in the seven years Harry and his best mates were leaving the Hogwarts castle for Easter holiday. Upstairs the the boys' dormitories the sleepy eyed, tousled haired boys had half of their bodies deep within their school trunks clearly doing last minute packing.
With their heads down they could barely here the soft click of the door close and the entrance of another.
"Leave it to Mum to invite us all to the Burrow, we never leave for Easter holidays!" Ron's voice sounded muffled from his battered secondhand school trunk.
"Really..." said the person who entered the room as the squashed faced, bottled tailed, ginger colored cat leaped from her arms and began wrapping his tail around Ron's legs.
" Bloody hell Hermione!" cried Ron rubbing the top of his flaming red head.
Hermione giggled and walked toward Ron swiftly kissing his cheek sweetly before perching on the end of his four postered bed.
"Good morning Hermione." Harry greeted while adverting his green eyes from his two best friends. it wasn't that he was jealous of their newly formed relationship, it was watching how happy they seemed to be together. he had made the awful mistake of letting Ginny go and still he felt the feeling of emptiness she left behind. Now he was spending the holiday at the Weasley's... wasn't it painful enough facing each other in the common room?
"Morning Harry," she brightly smiled "you know, you two really should not have waited so long to pack. We leave in a half an hour."
"What!" Ron's ears began to glow a shade of red "Why have you waited so long to mention the time!" he frantically threw his belongings into his trunk.
"Don't worry Ron, we can bewitch the trunks and take the usual shortcuts." Hermione said matter-of-factly pulling out her wand and pointing it at Ron's shabby trunk doing a smart little jab that tidied the school robes he hastily dropped into the crate.

"Harry dear!" Mrs.Weasley waved as she pointed at the freshly laundered clothes with her wand held aloft, magicking them on to the clothesline. The threesome who just appearated at the end of the dirt road outside the precariously perched Burrow started walking towards the front door.
As they stepped into the warm kitchen the sound of chattering voices filled their ears and the inviting smells of lunch filled their noses.
"Mum," Ron's face flushed hand in hand with Hermione spoke to Mrs. Weasley who entered the kitchen behind the three friends " who many people have you gone and invited? And why?"
"Ronald, don't you start. It's a special occasion this Easter." She paused looking from her son to Hermione "Now aren't you two a site." She lifted an enormous tea tray from the large kitchen table that sitted nine and began walking out of the room "Well, come on you three. Nearly everyone from the Order are awaiting your arrival. Ginny's been here for an hour already, whatever took you so long..." Mrs. Weasley's voice trailed off as she headed further from them but even so harry could not stop his mind from wandering as he heard the mention of his former girlfriend.
"Harry?" Hermione quietly called, Harry stopped to realize the couple also stopped about five paces behind him, clearly lost in thought he had not followed suit.
"Yeah Hermione? Something bothering you both, stomach ache from all the sweets you devoured, " he laughed "yeah, me too mate." Harry resumed walking but soon saw they had not followed.
"No Harry," continued Hermione "we.... um, we were wondering if... well you were going to be all right with this..."
"C'mon, honestly." he shrugged.
"Yeah mate, with Ginny and all...." said Ron.
Harry stopped him, he started to feel anger boiling within him like a pot of boiling water gathering more unnecessary flame. 'The Boy Who Lived' being questioned about facing a past girlfriend? "I'll be fine, you both are acting ridiculous."
With the finality the three walked into the loud living room filled with what seemed like hundreds of people for the size of the fairly small room: Bill Weasely and Lupin in one corner deep in conversation and Fleur (the newest Weasley) looking beside herself with boredom nest to Bill, the clumsy Tonks helping a reluctant Mrs.Weasley with the tea, Fred and George excitedly talking to Mundungus Fletcher, Hagrid over-sized as usual, Ginny, Charlie, Mr.Weasley, and Dumbledore and Minerva sitting in the center of the room intertwined together displaying deep love for each other.
Albus looked up to see the threesome enter "Ah excuse me for one minute Darling," giving Minerva a quick kiss "Harry, Ron, Hermione, we began to think you decided not to come." The twinkle of his sparkling blue eyes scanned Harry's seventeen year old face.
"Oh no Professor..." Harry replied.
"I see," nodded Dumbledore watching Ron and Hermione walk away still hand in hand "but it's not them you're hurting about it's..." the reflection of the only Weasley daughter appeared in his glasses.
"Yes, sir.... Well sort of."
Dumbledore chuckled "And no need for such formality son." He put a reassuring hand on Harry's shoulder "I understand."
