Ok,
This is the time of year, just before the book comes out that the world seems to go wild with rumors about what is going to happen, who is going to die etc.
Well, I have news of intrest and it is credible.
UNLESS YOU HEAR IT FROM JK IT ISN'T SO.
JK has a website that is filled with information, games, eastereggs, and cool stuff, and one of the things she keeps repeating over and over is, DON'T believe things that you hear from other sources. (remember the number of names that the new book came out with - things like the Pillar of Storge, The green Flame, etc.
Speculation is fine.
There are alot of things that JK has put on her website that are open to speculation.
1. Fudge is replaced as MOM.
Actually, if you check out the Rumors section and see the quibbler add it says "FUDGE IS CHASED OUT OF OFFICE" or something pretty close to that. Heck. It could have been as simple as a bumble bee that buzzed about his head that prompted him to run out of the office with it following him- but it may not mean that he is being replaced.
2,Snape is Luna Lovegoods father.
JK addressed this one. MR Lovegood is Luna's father Snape does NOT have a daughter...
(SPECULATION... She didn't say he didn't have a son... and there is ONE character who does not know who his father is...)
3. Someone is going to die in this book.
Hm, lets see- doesn't someone almost always die in her books? and it doesn't have to be a major character. Cedric wasn't a major character, nor was Sirius. While he was Harrys Godfather, and ONE of the characters in the book he wasn't a MAJOR character.
4, Peter Pettigrew owes a life debt to Harry. Peter Pettigrew has a silver hand . Silver kills Cursed beings.
Lupin is a cursed being. Does that mean that Lupin is going to die at the hand of Peter? no.
5. Fun with Names. Percy is a historic figure who betrayed those who loved him. (I think it was during the trojan wars) Percy Weasley has shown a tendency to turn his back on his family. Speculation that he would betray his family for a self serving motive.
6 I think I had pointed this out before about Madam Rosmerta In Gaulish Celtic mythology, Rosmerta was the goddess of fire, warmth, and abundance. A flower queen and hater of marriage, Rosmerta was also the queen of death. A Celtic goddess of fertility and wealth, whose cult was widely spread in Northeast Gaul. Rosmerta was the wife of Esus, the Gaulish Hermes. Her attributes are a cornucopia and a stick with two snakes.
note in OOP, Dumbledore did something and two snakes came out in smoke ... JK never drops a clue about something with out it meaning something. could it be that Rosmerta is like Peter- a spy for Voldemort?
Just something to think about with the new book!
