You know, you ignore this at first but when it is everywere you go for months.... it was in the morning paper today. I am sorry to thrust this up on you people. I do not mean to be boring or wasting your time but this scares me to death. Two words: "Don't believe it 'till you've read it!". Okay, so that was more than two ;D... but anyway. I mean, people may believe Albus is going to die, but people are dumb . Okay, no, seriously, I personally don't believe Albus is going to die just yet. In book 7, yes, but not yet. Albus is too much the voice of JKR, giving information to Harry and such, to die now- because there is still too much Harry does not know. Anyway, no panic just yet... it's only 17 days to go after all . Love, Lies PS: And if he dies, we just go along happily shipping *crosses arms*.

yeah, go to JKs site, While she may pick a character to snuff out, and people will be dieing, she has also said that book 7 will deal with what happens later where the students go. One will stay behind and teach, and it won't be hermione, or Harry. (Nevile maybe?) It would really rock if Ron became captain of the quidditch team.
I don't believe she would kill of Dumbledore. or minerva for that matter. The DADA teacher? uh, yeah. probably.
She is introducing new characters as well. If you think about it, once a character has served his purpose, then, well, it happens.
You know, as it is a short time before HBP, if maybe the moderators could make a separate area for the book so we can discuss it with out having to worry about spoilers?

Yeah, I agree... Dumbly is likely to die in book seven but not yet...
My teacher told me about that rumor, my NON-HARRY-POTTER-FAN TEACHER! lol... she pulled me over and asked me "You like Harry Potter, right?" and I, of course, reply in the positive... "Well, I heard that they placed bets at the publisher's, about who was going to die next and Dumbledore won... or lost" ... I was whiny the rest of the day!
But I hope so much that he won't die at all, but I suppose that's like asking JKR to tell us all about AD and MM's relationship, down to the last detail... *sigh*
Anyway, all we can do is hope!
Love, Cammie

I agree with what Lies wrote above. As they keep saying on The Leaky Cauldron and Mugglenet: Don't believe anything unless you have read it in the Half-Blood Prince (fat chance of that for 17 more days), or have heard it from Bloomsbury/Scholastic Books, or have heard it directly from JKR herself, either in a interview or on her website. Those are the only places where the facts are truly known.
I really do not see Jo killing off Albus or Minerva at this time. Albus is the voice of Jo and is the one who informs Harry of things he doesn't know. Who will tell him if Albus is gone. Minerva has already been hurt in OotP and I don't think Jo will harm her again. I see her surviving to the end.
And, if worst does comes to worst (and we all pray it doesn't), we simply keep on shipping our favorite ship. That is the beauty of fan written fiction. They don't have to die in it.
I, too, would like to see a separate thread started for HPB (too avoid spoilers for those who don't wish to be spoiled). Please, Mods.

When we get closer to the release date of HBP, I'll put a "Book 6" sub-board under the "Harry Potter Discussion" one. Unless you gals would like it up sooner? :-)
- April
P.S. Albus can't die....I refuse to acknowledge the possibility and shall continue to live happily in my little delusional world. :-P

Okay I have to agree I am scared to death. I know, I know, I won't believe anything until I read it in HBP, but the possibility is there. Logically I agree that she won't kill Albus in book 6 because there is still too much for Harry to find out still. There is also the dreaded Star Wars comparison - which you can tell JK just hates. But according to Jim Dale, the guy who does the audio books, an important character does die. Of course the key here is to remember important doesn't mean major (and I would classify Albus as major). And I agree I think Minerva and Arthur (because she almost killed them both in OotP) are safe at least until the final battle in book 7.
I have never done this with any HP book because I didn't want to spoil the ending but I may actually read the last few pages first just to ally my fears (or confirm them *sniff*) Cross your fingers these are just like the Hagrid rumors for OotP (he was the favorite to die then) and someone else gets it who deserves it - Like Peter or Belletrix
And if nothing else there is 140 years of time prior to Harry for us to write about.

Yeah, Thanks. I guess it was just the last grain that filled the meter... I have cecked everything you know and deep inside I know the - don't belive until you read- I don't think she will kill minerva becouse she was in so much danger in the last book. Well it just scared me the number of how many times it was said I know that I should not belive unless it is from Jo or Bloomsbury.... Thanks agin I really needid that, you made my day.

sorry but I am so tired right now that I dont wanna sign in!! LOL. Anyways.. Yeah you guys.. I dont think Albus is going to die. I believe, like you all have said, he might die in book 7 but not now. If he dies now.. how will Harry know what to do when Voldemort comes after him... maybe Minerva will help him.. *slaps herself for letting that thought come to mind*.. sorry.. I was actually looking at the bright side if Albus died...*tear* I dont think he is going to die anytime soon so you can just calm down! ;D

ok, maybe it should be in a poll area, but, here is a thought. JK has said that Peter owes harry a life debt. You really think Voldemort is going to let that slide if he does something noble like trying to save harrys life?
another person is Lupin. he is the last of the Marauders, the last contact with James and Lily. He did his part in POA, and the last two books. Logicly, he would be the next to snuff out.
Percy. He has been such a jerk the last two books, that I wanted to slap him silly. Like his name sake , he will go where there is strength, and believe what ever those in power would say.
a while back I heard someone said that the person who played Hagrid hadn't been asked to work past the fifth movie.
Now, at the time, they were still wondering if the trio of kids would still be working as well.
You have alot of people who are in the ministry who could be killed- or the students as well. Sirius was meant to die because Harry would have had the option of living with him, and well, you can't have the hero happy.

*not quite a spoiler, but an alert just in case, you may not wanna read this*
I was hoping it would be Percy. I'd feel bad for Molly and all, but eh, whatchya gonna do? I'm finished now... and a part of me is hoping that when I re-read it later, it will be Percy instead.
