Sometimes people can be so blind that...ugh. I stumbled into this fic while innocently browsing ff,net. It basically bashes all non canon ships. And guess which one warranted its own bash-full chapter? www.fanfiction.net/s/4089355/4/Harry_Potter_and_the_Irresponsible_ShippersI wanted to throttle the author, and not just because she bashed ADMM. It was her entire attitude which bothered me. Picking off other fans. I wrote her a rather critical review. I'm not surprised by her prejudice, just saddened. Our ship already took so much heat from JKR herself. Why should we have to suffer the other fans too?  |

From her profile what's the difference between going ahead and having a straight Grinlewald and doing ADMM? They're both noncannon I see no real difference.

I'm either going to blow up, or start ranting about how stupid some people can be and how close minded they are.
Seriously, I don't care if she (the author of that horrendous fic that almost choked me and wasted one perfectly delicious Belgian chocolate) is skeptical, but being close minded really pisses me off. I am getting really pissed at the quality of fanfiction parodies being put up on ff.net. Espescially those that slams other ships. At least be enough of an author to come up with a reasonable plot while you go on your merry way and slam the other pairings that you don't like. =.=

That was sheer ignorance. That's all I can say. I agree with you, Elo, that this is not even fanfiction. I reported it as abuse. I truly hope they decide to remove it from the site.
Futhermore, what have we ADMM fans ever done to anyone?? It's bad enough that we get no tolerance from JK, much less from fellow Harry Potter fans!

So, yeah.
This pretty much ruined my day.
Unless I am very much mistaken, this ship has much more cannon evidence then HG/SS and Darry, for god's sake. There was solid evidence that the two were a conservative couple for years and never thought to reveal their love for a while. And please? GROSS?! Grow up, unless they think that their grandparents hate each other or you suddenly shrivel up at the age of 50/
Ugh. They make it seem like we're shipping Kreacher and Mrs. Weasly, goodness.

hey guys...yeah this fic sucks in an absurd number of ways, the grammer and writing quality being top of my list, but don't you think that by leaving these slightly nutty reviews there we might be giving ourselves a bad name? It also kind of reinforces her(?) point about crazy fans. I'm just going to pretend I never read this, and move on with my day....well night. She's a nutter with a bad attitude and poor writing skills, let's just leave it at that and not encourage her anymore.

Oh, did I say “reviews”? I meant flames. Apparently, I grew up in slime and now live solely for the purpose of kicking puppies, killing babies and making MMAD shippers cry. However, these shippers seem to have missed a few key points…
For those who called this fic “not fanfiction,” I want to let you know that I’m sincerely sorry you have such a narrow-minded view of what fanfiction is.
For those who were hurt by the fic (“After I read chapter four, I started crying”)…Oops. I kinda meant to make you laugh, but ooookay... (seriously, though, I never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings!)
For those of you who voiced their indignance on behalf of ALL irresponsible shippers…I defer to the reviews I have from devoted “irresponsible” (yes, I just quoted myself) shippers who didn’t take themselves so seriously that they couldn’t see the humor here. Also, I honestly don’t mean to offend anybody. I like things to be canon, but what’s life without a little irresponsibility, eh? winks
For those of you who don’t understand the meaning of the word “hyperbole,” look it up.
I mean, raise your hand if you REALLY think the Giant Squid is named Wayne? Snorts psh-right.sheesh.

Wow, I had no idea I was starting a revolt by posting that link! I cannot believe all the support (or should I say outrage?) this is inspiring. For the record, here is the reply she sent to me, the first one to call her out on her excuse for a fic: So, she's not a complete devil spawn. But based on what I can see, she's gotten nastier as more of us have complained. But seriously, she "cried when she wrote chapter 4"? I don't think so. Nice try though. The ADMMers will never fall!  And I'm glad you guys reported it as abuse. I love how we all act like a family defending our honor and weathering anything together. |

I know it's not well-written and quite crude but at the end of the day it's an ignoramus parodying a pairing which, as someone mentioned, has far more canon credibility than other ships such as HGSS and nothing more.

I'm so sorry if I sounded patronising; I absolutely agree that it is an excuse for fanfiction. And her attitude against non-canon ships is a little ridiculous. People are entitled to their opinions and she should respect that, but there are far worse stories that parody ADMM. And no, I'm not giving any of you the links; the people who wrote them would probably drop down dead because of all the telepathic hate they'd receive.  lol |

I agree. I read part of the fan fic in class and I didn't mind some if . Yes, it is poorly written, but she's got a point. I get so sick of seeing Draco/Hermione, Harry/Hermione, etc... Besides some shippers do go a bit overboard. It's about fictional characters' love lifes. I am not going to get all worked up over it. |

Wow, I'm lating commenting on this. Well after reading that I seriously think that chick has absolutely nothing better to do than to make us fans mad. I respect that she doesn't like the ship, but that does not mean she can post riddiculous writings about it. If you don't like it, that's your choice, but just leave the people who do like it alone.
