I thought I might as well be some use to the board and nicked this from mugglenet:
"The first task of the competition is amazing. It is very well produced. Professor McGonagall gives the students a firm speech about the yule ball and it's importance for social reasons and then gives a dance lesson using one of the students as her partner."
Sounds like fun. I hope Dame Maggie Smith will feature more than she did in POA.

I had heard a rumor she tangoed with Snape!  At least we won't have that. One of the reviews I have read said that Minerva had a least one really good scene. Hurrah!  |

Hey, did you see the mugglenet footage of GOF interviews and stuff with the kids? There's a section in the background of one of the films of the yule ball, and just coming out from behind a camera you can see Minerva dancing with...ALBUS! YAY!!!

to find it go to movie IV-videos-tv captures-eww, girls it should be in that video at the end, the screen will have emma talking with a picture to the right of the ball and ad/mm dancing in the top right corner

I tried, and got it downloaded and all... But I couldn't see a thing, it might've just been any other couple for all I know.. It was very blurry... Buuhhuu... *sniff*

Keep trying... I finally found them... it took a LOT of looking... but the more I stared (once I got them singled out) the more I became convinced it was them... If it is the clip I saw... with Emma talking on once side and the clip on the other... watch right as it comes to the end... a guy on a light/camera is moving through the center of the dancers and there is a light glare at the top of the screne... they come out from the glare as the light/camera moves to the leftish.... then I put it on pause and just stared... over and over... but it was them...

Hm, with just dial-up here I won't even try to watch that video. won't work anyway. *sigh* But I've heard that rumour too that Min tangoes with Snape though I haven't found any mention of that in the reviews. Hm, would be a pity if that wasn't true... Would have been one highly interesting scene. ;D Plus I think Alan's a good dancer...  Love, Rikki |

Yeah, it's terrible quality, but it's definately them. There's no doubt about this. I've watched it so many times, it can't be anyone else.
Earlier on in that clip - I think it's when Hermione is dancing with Krum - you can just see them standing next to eachother too. They are half obscured by a camera, but the costumes are recognisable. It goes Snape, Minerva, Albus. Sigh.
It made me so happy!
Whether they'll be in shot in the movie or not is another matter. But that god for a Minerva scene! I knew a British director wouldn't waste a British star like our Mags. Yay!

Yeah... It would be awesome if we get a glimse of them dancing in GoF... It would certainly make the movie ten times better... ;D
If not... *grr* I hope it will be on the deleted scenes on the dvd, when it comes out... or something... Heh heh

In the book, doesn't she dance with Dumbledore? She does right? I knwo she danced with fudge...and Dumbledore danced with Madame Maxine...can't...remember *sigh*

No, in the book she dances with Ludo Bagman. There's no sign of her dancing with Dumbledore.
