Hey everyone! I wasn't really sure if this section is the right place to put this but well.. I did it anyway (sorry if it's at the wrong place) I was just wondering yesterday, why so many people think that the bar keeper of the Hog's Head is Aberforth Dumbledore.. I mean I can see some hints who could mean this (the bar keeper seems familiar to Harry and he's a long thin face and I think Albus was quoted once that he was 'friendly' with the bar keeper there)... And well i was just wondering if there's any proof, something JKR said in an interview for example.. I really like the idea of the bar keeper bein Albus' brother, but I was just wondering if this theory was JKR-approved kankulex

I can't remember where, but I am sure there is an interview with JKR out there somewhere where she alludes very heavily to Aberforth being the barman. I'm pretty sure it was in the online chat that she did a while back but I can't for the life of me find the quote. I remember her saying how proud she was about the "bar smelling like goats" clue which tied in with Dumbledore saying that his brother was arrested for performing innappropriate charms on goats. And then of course there is this ( www.mugglenet.com/jkrinterview3.shtml) interview with JKR from Mugglenet and Leaky Cauldron: Which would correspond to the trip to Hogsmede where the barman is talking with Mundungus. I fairly sure you can be safe in assuming that Aberforth an dteh barman are one and the same ;D

I thought in book six chapter "The seer overheard" that dumbledore explained about how Snape was pushed out of the hogs head the night trewlaney was interviewing with dumbledore... Aberforth was the one who caught Snape... I might have imagined it too i do that a lot
