Hi. I know it´s randomly as randomly can be, but there are 2 question that camed into my mind and stayed there... 1) Is there anywhere mentioned if the Weasley family has a house elf ? I only thought that it was normal that families have them, but I can´t remember a "weasley-one" 2) I think to remember that it was mentioned that Albus was the Transfiguration-professor once (and I guess a good one ) but is there any hint/ prove that he´s also an animagus ?? I remember a scene where Hermline mentions to have read there there were only a hand full of registered animagi, but is it said that Albus was one of them ?? I know, it´s stupid, but I had to ask...

1) No they don't have one.
2) Hermione, in PoA says there are 7 registered Animagi in the last century, all we know of who they are is that one is Minerva.

1)Ron mentions in Cos how great it would be to have a house elf, but all the Weasley's have is "an old ghoul" in the attic. 2)EloquentPhenix is right, we never hear Dumbledores name mentioned as an animagus, but I have always wondered about the part in Philosophers Stone where he finds Harry looking into the Mirror of Erised and he says something along the lines of "I don't need a cloak to become invisible. I had always thought maybe he had an animagus form of something very small (a bumblebee? ). Just me theorising though!

Saying that, though, with the amount of unregistered Animagi we have wandering about Potterverse... It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Wow, a bumblebee would make a lot of sense, avadagypsy!
And here I was thinking that it was his Animagus form that took the form of the phoenix. It says on wikipedia it's his Patronus form. I must have misread that.

A bumblebee does indeed make alot of sense. Though I was thinking of something a bit more majestic.

Not to plug or anything, but there is this really great unofficial theory book about of the mysteries of H.P and there are a TON of theories like the bumblebee theory. Contact me if you're interested! The book was at my local library!

Isn't albus over 100 years old? because if he is then he could be a registred animagus, cuz hermione only mentions THIS century. just my little input ,dont know if it works.

That would make sense, princessmai101. I just can't image that as powerful as Albus is, he wouldn't be one. No clue what it would be though.

I picture albus to be sometype of bird either phoenix or an owl,.. when harry was at the mirror of erised, albus could have been a bird at the window and harry wouldn't have thought twice about it..

Definitely something with wings, but I don't imagine him being an owl. Something... colourful. With a long beak. I don't know why I said long beak, but I just imagine him having one as opposed to the cute little triangular ones that cartoon owls have ^^'
Phoenix? Kingfisher? Hummingbird? Or, maybe, at a push, without the colourful part, some sort of bird of prey? Something clever.

1. No, they don't have one... and I really don't know why. I've always had the idea it was because they didn't have a lot of money (I'm under the impression that Ron always refers to them as a luxury, even if house elves work for free)
2. princessmai101 has a fair point. However, I think the idea of Dumbledore being an animagus is a too-easy solution... and JKR not always takes those paths right?
About Dumbledore being a Bumblebee... hmmm, a Bumblebee is NOT invisible. And in the magic world, I take VERY seriously the INVISIBLE term. I mean, in our world to be invisible means being undetectable on first sight... in HP's world that means to actually DISAPPEAR.
Even so, I do believe there's some connection between Dumbledore and Phoenixes. I'm not sure what it is but the idea of "reborn from the ashes" seems very Dumbledorish.
Hmm, I think I'm rambling!! Sorry about that G'night Isabel
