Forgive me if this was already brought up...and then point me to it!
But incase it was not...
We all remember how Dumbledore told Harry that he doesn't need a cloak to become invisible...Did Jo ever tell us how exactly he did it? I began reading OoTP again last night (which is long overdue, because then I need to re-read HBP to understand it better..). I had a lumos moment when they were travelling to Grimmauld Place. Moody put a Disillusionment charm on Harry, which made him blend in with the surroundings. Do we think Dumbledore uses a Disillusionment charm to become "invisible", or is there another way?
It seems to me that the charm is the same as the invisibility cloak- you can see through the person, but they are still a solid object and can be heard.
Your thoughts?

I'm not sure it would be the disillusionment charm. After all, doesn't that charm make you 'blend in' with your surroundings? "He felt like a human chameleon" (OotP). If you are invisible, you can't be seen at all.

I think it's just some really advanced magic...I hope JK will mention how he did it because I've always wondered!

I Love your Avatar and footnote StormAngelxx, big Xmen fan, they totally have to do another film. RoLo rocks and I love the dark phoenix saga (the original comic book is better then the movie but the movie was fab!!)
Tabbyforever- I am Phoenix (No really I am!!) Hehe.

I always wondered if his invisibility had something to do with a possible Animagus form.

Hm. Interesting idea. I think we would need Jo to define his invisibility. Is he actually invisible, or is he only invisible to Harry because Harry is so fixed on the mirror?

I was wondering about that... the disillusionment charm did come to mind, but as 'littlemorgsi' (lotr reference btw? ) said, it doesn't make you completely invisible; if someone was really looking out for you, you'd probably be exposed. However, we do know Albus is an accomplished legilimens, maybe it's a combination of the two? If he could convince someone to just 'not' see him, or think they didn't... Hmmm.. problems with that too. A Pondering Cranky...

Good thought with the legelimency idea. That is entirely possible. Although I thought I saw somewhere that you could feel it if your mind was entered? Or maybe I've been reading too much FF...
