Ohhhh! I am excited for you. My dream is to see England (including London and all places Harry Potter) someday. Maybe by 2012 I can save enough money to come and see the country and the Olympics.
Goes off muttering to self...must save money, must save money, must save money.

Splendid, I hope you get to see some of the events. *itching to come too* By the way JKMcGonagall if you ever go to London, don't miss out on Kings Cross. There is actually a wall with a plate on it saying "Platform 9 3/4" and a trolley that is half in the wall. I have some great pictures of that one.

I'm so happy for you and all of England, Jem!! All I saw when I was there were 'back the bid, london 2012' signs. Just the excuse I needed to return.

Oh, whew, I was so worried NYC would win the Olympic bid. Thank goodness they didn't get that stadium plan passed. I'm glad you're excited, I was dreading having the games here. Hope you get to see something fun in 7 years.

Oh dear. I am in China at the moment, where olympic fever is pretty high, and a load of guys from my office have just come in to "congratulate" me on winning the olympics! I think they meant to congratulate the UK, and it came out wrong...
I'm afraid I shocked them by telling them that a. I don't really care, and b. British transport is soooooo bad that it's all likely to be chaos anyway.
Call me unpatriotic, but I was for Paris. Now THAT would be great.
Come to the UK BEFORE the olympics! There's still pleanty to see and do! And there will be afterwards.
Hey Fawkes, which platform is the HP trolly in the wall at Kings Cross??? I was coming in to Kings Cross all the time last year on my way home from Uni, and I've never seen it! I used to see the banners saying patform 9 and 3/4 but have never seen the trolly!

Hey Sensiblyquirky,
We should fly out together since we are both in NC. Just the excuse I need to get there.

It's not really in the main hall mugglemin. You have to go to the right platform on the right hand side of the main hall. There is some kind of corridor leading away to those platforms and there it is. Was some time ago so I can't excactly remember the location clearly sorry.
