BACK TO SCHOOL!!

YAY I'M BACK TO SCHOOL!! ;D I'm happy about it but I feel tired now....whoa two weeks off and so much math to do!! and Biology....I still don't really understand what the strike was for but this is what my band teacher said but I can't really take his word I need more info about everything but this is what I know:

The strike (if anyone's interested in hearing about it) was about the teachers wanting a smaller class size because each year there's more and more kids going to school. And knowing that teachers have to do marking and make lesson plans they just have so much to do.

Now since the teachers were out of the job for two weeks and didn't get payed at all...it's pretty bad on them. I couldn't believe this stuff was going on. Things I wasn't even aware of. There's one thing or maybe a couple good things coming out of this strike. There public awareness and the government is going to do something about it (hopefully).

I bet that's not even half of it from what I just said but I'm not really into politics, so I don't know how things really work. But ONE day I will!!

This is probably a bit bias but then again it's the teachers who have to do all the work the government just has to support them financially and in some other ways .
Maybe someone who knows what's going on can help me a bit.

YAY!!!! i'm glad your school is back in session, I'm not sure if this is the right strike or whatever, but i searched teacher strike and canada and this came up.

There was a teacher's strike here in Canada? I'm surprised I didn't hear about it. What province do you live in?

I live in British Columbia. what about you?? Anyways it's pass right now but they might strike again but that's a big maybe in june or something like that but still that's far away.

Online it says there were about 600,000 students "idled" by the strike. So I guess you weren't the only bored on, Lady Jolly! lol

Well, at least you're back at schol now. Have fun!

( wish my Professors would strike. My school doesn't even cancel in case of snow. If they can plow out the parking garage they can keep classes in sesion. Yuck)
