Yesterday my sister and some of her friends recieved an award for their environmental work from our governor. She's 9!

um...basically a day to appreciate the earth. A lot of zoos have special events on earth day and environmental groups have special events. I am not a big environmentalist, even though my sister is, so I don't know all the details about E. day.

Childminerva, is right for the most part. It is a day to celebrate the earth beginning in 1971. It's also about giving back back to the eath by doing little service projects, ie cleaning up little on the ground. It must not be worldwide, or at least that's what I'm guessing. Sorry if I confused anyone...but it was on my mind. I don't attend the School of Environmental Studies for nothing! I hoped that helped a little bit.
