I'm pretty excited, and this is a bit of a shameless plug... My friend Joseph got a publisher! He says it isn't a major company, so it might not be on Barnes and Nobles shelves. However, a publisher is a publisher, and I have a feeling that a lot of you shop at obscure little shops... The ones with the best. The title is Song of the Goddess right now, and a date hasn't been given to me, but... Keep an eye out, please. It's a fiction book, written by a teenage boy, and very well worded. From what I can remember... A guy goes on a journey and discovers himself and what he was looking for.. Don't shoot me, but I can't remember what, exactly... Oh! I remember a vampire and killing people. Ahem.. Anyway, it's very good. I'm not sure if it'll be published outside of the States, but... If so, PM me, and I'll try and see what I can find. Shameless plug for an old friend. ;D <3Kate

Thanks. ;D He's still working some things out with the company and doing last-minute edits, etc., so... It's odd. Now that he's got a publisher, his e-mails have some VERY big words in them!!

You never know. I work at Barnes and Noble and if he would like it to be on B&N shelves, he needs to make sure that his book will be coded RETURNABLE. Usually it just applies to self-published books, but some small press publishers don't make their books returnable. B&N won't order any small press books unless they are returnable, that way if it doesn't sell, they aren't stuck with them.
You mentioned that its a fiction book by a teenage boy. Is it about teenagers? I'm asking because I run the Children and Teen sections of my store and I could keep an eye out for it when he gets it published. I like the title. :-)

No teenagers, really. It's most adult... And there's a bit of a LOT of gore... So I strongly doubt it'd be in your section. And thank you for the info on the B&N shelves!! I'll be sure to pass it along! The title is amazing, and really fits well with the book.
