Friday October 6 at my school a boy on the Cross Country team collapsed and died. The school was swarming with TV crews because this is the fourth athlete in our city to randomly die after a practice. I knew the boy he sat next to me for a semester last year and was really nice. the administration wouldn't tell the student body any information until our last class of the day, by then there were so many rumors that it didn't feel like we had lost one of our own. it was just a really weird day.

I'm so sorry. I know it's odd at school when someone dies, and they don't tell the students till the end of the day, it does make it a "really weird day" as you put it.
That is definately odd that he is the fourth athlete to die after practice. Are the police looking into it?

the deaths were medical related.one had an enarged heart and the other three are unknown pending autopsies but are suspected to be medical related. our whole area has really come together, we have a fence surrounding our track it's covered with flowers and balloons and candles. our whole track team tied their shoes to the fence as well. at our football game the other team had blue stripes put on their helmets and at the track meet this weekend every body had a blue ribbon on them and the trainers were all in blue. (Blue is our school color.)

We found out on friday that Johnathon ( the boy at my school) died because he had a heart irregularity since birth that nobody caught.
