OMG!!! Relesae date for DH is 21st July 2007! I can't wait. *Screams* I'm so happy, but also so sad as it really is the beginning of the end... It's a Saturday Is it really bad that I so desperately want to book the day off work?

I just read it on Yahoo. It's certainly not bad that you want to book the day off EloquentPhoenix, I was thinking exactly the same. :-)

Yes. At last. I've already preordered from Amazon. If they do it like the last one. I have it on the day it is released. July is going to rock. The OOTP movie and the 7th Book. Classic. Little giddy here. Truly

I expect I'll pre-order now, because I'll be almost definitely working. And if I weren't it would have been so good because I would have finished college on the 19th, and could have slept a lot in preparation for staying up all night reading.

I'm going to the book premire, meself. I'm gonna dress as a Hufflepuff and get all die-hard Trekkie about it. ;D It'll rock! But do any of you know how to pre-order it so that it can be picked up at the store? As soon as I got the news I went to reserve my copy, but I have to wait because I want to pick it up and don't know how. Ha. That sounded like a Blue October song. I should write a parody.

I did that last time. I paid for my book in advance so that I was one of the first to get it that night...I didn't have to wait to pay like most of the people there. lol
But this was a small bookstore...some place like Borders or Barnes and Noble might do things differently.
I would just like to say a big thank you to Eloquent, because her announcement was the first I saw when I got online today! It might have taken me longer to learn the news if not for her. I think I've sufficiently thanked her though, can you say "PURPLE!"

Awww. I was hoping it would come out 7/7/07 since it's the 7th book. That would have made it so catchy and spiffy. Oh well. Yay book 7!

I am in college, but I'll be at my Saturday job.
I think that, I've forgotten who first mentioned this to me and where it was, it would have been a bad idea to release it on 07/07/07. It's only a year later, and it'll be a sad day for England, it's almost disrespectful. 21st is better because I've finished college then too.

Oh, Lord, I was a bit bummed because I'm still in Europe with Blue Lake when the movie comes out. But now I've got the lovely book and some residual jet lag to look forward to, and all right here in Michigan.

Hey! No laughing at us older people. I know I'll be working, but rather conveniently I work at Barnes & Noble, so I get paid to sell the book! Looking forward to the midnight party! - April :-)

I know that the London Metro System (is that what it is called there?) was bombed on that day in 2005, but I don't know about last year. Here I found a link for this... BBC on 07/07/2005Anyone, I for one am less than thrilled with date. I am a camp counselor for two weeks each summer at the church camp I went to. This year the first week is July 15-21 (ages 11-13) and the second week is July 22-28 (ages 14-18). So that is basically my one night to get a full night's sleep in a comfortable bed for two whole weeks, and I will probably stay up and read HP and the DH!!!

Oops that was very careless of me, I did mean to say 2 years later because I went to check at the time of posting which year it was and then forgot to change it. Yes that is what I meant, when suicide bombers blew up our trains and buses. Not a good day *shivers* I don't know it might just be me that thinks that it would have been a bad idea *shrugs*. Anyway, moving on, poor Sprinkles, well you'll have read it at least... And sleep is overrated

Ah yes, EloquentPhoenix - though I cannot help thinking that 7/7/7 would have been very symbolically satisfying. Either way, I'm overjoyed at having a release date. Though it's sad it's ending. Has anyone seen the news piece about the bust Jo signed? Now that's a historical flourish if I ever saw one. I'm not going to preorder. When HBP came out I'd preordered from a bookshop, but it turned out to be pointless because the local bookshop was swamped in copies.

She signed a bust in a hotel room in Edinburgh(?) Yes, that's what I meant! Sorry sprinksy, I'd literally just read the article and it was filling my head to much for it to be explained!

She's updated her official site and DH is her favourite! Got to be good then?!
This is kind of like her saying it now, because she updated the diary and just *sighs* I don't want it to end!

I hope she does end up writing that Encylopedia thing she once spoke about....I don't remeber where it was, but she was ellaborating on how she would not write another Harry Potter, but she might write and encyclopedia of sorts with all the extra information she has that never fit into any of the books
