Notice about 'Him Again' - Massive Apologies

Okay, this is for readers of 'Him Again,' who have probably been wondering whether Apocalypticat died suddenly in front of a half-finished chapter or whether she took Brian and legged it. Sadly I don't have as good an excuse as the former and I assure everyone that the latter will never happen.

Firstly, a HUGE, SINCERE apology to all readers for my disappearance. I was aware of a possible absence of about 2 weeks due to events such as my eighteenth birthday, but I would have given warning had I known I would vanish for any longer. Real life has really crashed down on me, meaning that I pretty much went AWOL from the fanfic world. My eighteenth birthday was immediately followed by severe depression, my parents messing up the domestic situation, and then the sudden terrifying realisation that Exams Are Nigh. I'm having counselling for the former and have dived into revision for the latter, but I'm really sorry for anybody who was hoping for another chapter any time soon.

ASSURANCE: I WILL continue and finish 'Him Again,' so this is not an announcement of 'blow the story,' but I just felt the need to explain to people on the board if they were following it at all. I personally hate it when writers disappear for no apparent reason and don't explain.

I hope to have another chapter done soon, but I really can't make any promises.

I think the ethical thing to say would be "sod the fic, dear, concentrate on the exams and your own well-being!"

However...

I don't want you to think that it's no longer my favourite fic, or that I'm no longer looking forward to more...

but really, you must put yourself first! Come back only when you are ready.

Awh dear. I'm so sorry about everything that has been going on. When it rains, it pours, doesn't it? I am glad to hear that you are taking steps to get through everything. Know that we will still be here and still want to read all the crazy twists and turns you come up with, whenever you are ready! I've actually been thinking about you over the last week or so, thinking about emailing you and seeing if you were doing okay, then I saw this thread today. I'm sorry that RL has come crashing down, but it sounds like you're doing the right things to take care of yourself and get through it.

Take good care of yourself! We'll all welcome you back with open arms! (And "Him Again," too, of course!) Just take your time! And consider yourself long-distance-virtually-hugged!
