I decided it might be interesting if our banner was randomized between a couple different ones. Just to spice it up a bit. The ones I used were the four finalists in our Banner contest last year.
Let me know what you think. Do you like it? Do you prefer one fixed image? We'll try it for a little while. If the majority likes it, perhaps some of our talented Photoshop/Gimp users can send me some new banners and I could add them to the list. Wait until I give the word though. :-)

Oh I much prefer it on random. Gives the place its own super special sparkle. Not that it didn't already have a canister of fireflies, though  . But I rather like this. ;D |

I like the random, but perhaps you could also consider a banner for each section of the board. (i.e. a different one for announcements, plot bunnies, romance, angst, humour etc.)

Thanks guys! I'm glad everyone seems to like it. :-) As for banners for the different boards, I've been thinking of that very thing lately. :-) Great minds think alike, huh. I'll probably post something over at the art board. Thanks for the input, April :-) |

I do not like the random, but I understad that lots of other people do. Might it therfore be a good idea to have two skins, a random one and a not-random one?
EDIT: Or several different skins, one to go with each banner?

Just wanted to say that I love the new banners and was pleasantly surprised when I finally got back on the board after school's ended. Didn't know who to tell how wonderful they are, but I really do like some of them, and the variety's more fun.

I am currently working on making a skin, identical to the one already in place, but without the random. I have to do some tweaking in order to make it work, but hopefully I can get it done tonight. Thanks for the input everyone.

Woah! I didn't have internet for a while and hadn't visited this site since late winter or early spring, and it was a neat, surprising welcome back to have one of the banners I designed smiling up at me as an option for the page. Thanks! It's good to be back, and here's to reading some more ADMM!!
