Hello everyone....Just wanted to relate something I heard on the radio this morning for those of you who have children out there.
Recently, there has been a product advertised on TV and it is very popular. It has started selling in the toy section of most major retailers as well. It is called Aqua Dots. According to 106.7 FM news it is being recalled because, if it is swallowed by a child part of the product metabolizes into GHB the date rape drug. Apparently, it is the coating on the product which does this.
So far there are 3 reported hospitalizations of children. One in the US and 2 in Australia. It can cause unconsciousness, seizures, coma and death. Please be aware if you own this product or if your child receives it as a gift. So far I do not know what procedure they are using to dispose of or replace the product. I will let you all know if I find out more.
