I pre ordered 3 books way back before they even knew they were having a party, and I was told when I went back that I was near the top of the list... WHOO HOO... My sis in law said for me to grab my suit, and come over early so we could swim and eat pizza, and then I am taking my two nieces to B&N - they have 40% off the cover price. Last book I waited until the last moment, and then had to wait until 2:30 to get it... I should have the book in hand before 12:30, and be reading it by 0ne am... have to work the next day, so, may just flip to the back... Naaa.
4 days to go!!!

Well I'll wait till it's out in paperback. But I ordered the book for friend as a birthday present. Which means I'll be able to read it after she's finished. Shouldn't be more than a day or two. ;D
I would hate to break up my nice line of paperbacks and this way I get to read it too.

Oh, the joys of being a non-native speaker! I just walked into the empty bookstore, didn't notice the books but incidentally stopped in front of them, after much hesitation I picked up the adult version, payed and walked out. When the shop assistant asked me if I had it preordered. I almost laughed. Here, 3600 copies of English OotP were sold in the course of 2 years (making it the best selling English book ever). Preorder? What for?

My sister woke up to take me to Walmart Supercenter in AZ by midnight to get the book. Well she got me there by 11:30 and no lines, no crowds or anything. They had a big stack of books when I got mine, only saw maybe 5 people with books, and got home by 12:30. Store was crowded since it's a supercenter type store that sells everything from books and jewlery to clothes and food 24/7 but not many book buyers. I didn't start reading till 2:30 so I could just want it more and stayed up all night reading. Great book.

I went to my friend's birthday party and then all 10 of us squashed into a little 5 seater car at 11 :00 drove to Adventures For Kids... this tiny tiny children's bookstore. everyone inside was partying and counting down, but not lining up, so we started the line and got the books first... whoop whoop! then we drove down the street to Barnes and Noble, and im not kidding, there was a line out the doors and at the least 4 blocks down the court area. pity. so hoorah for hole in the wall bookstores! ecks oh ecks oh, bee
