Back in July I made this very same poll upon the forum I belong to with my friends. Only I had the added option of 'I don't care' (and it got 3 votes! ) but we all care! So I wont' go through it again. Anyway, there are lots of different takes on their relationship in everyone's fanfiction and I know I have written them getting together early, later, married/at least together. So basically despite our explorations in fanfiction what do we honestly think about their relationship. I was rather disheartened when last time it was only me who voted for 'A couple' But hopefully we all have more positive and there's the added bonus of us all being shippers. Ok, I admit it, it's half 12 in the morning, I'm bored and just wanted to make a poll. But I also want cheering up after re-reading the results for last time.

Interesting poll ;D
I voted for the unspoken love... I know, that's not very positive of me... But life isn't all rose-red and happy days... Of course I deeply wish they were a couple or were married, but honestly... unspoken love...

I voted I honestly don't know. Obviously I ship ADMM, and I really hope they are married or together, however, there is nothing tangible because for that kind of evidence to exist, it would be like “Minerva McGonagall (or Albus Dumbledore) and the Philosopher’s Stone”. It isn’t. The books are about Harry and there simply isn’t enough Minerva and Albus in them. Minerva is my favourite character, so I, like all of you, am understandably frustrated at times that the books ARE about Harry.

I voted married. It's most likely just wishful thinking but still. They are so sweet together. I too amy fustrated at times that the books are maily about Harry. They need more AD/MM in them. It gets so annoying when people leave Min and Albus out on fav character list . **Endora

I voted for "I really don't know." I kinda think more towards the fact that they love each other and they know it, but they may or may not be an actual couple.

I voted married... just cuz I really think that I'm going to believe they are not a couple the day I hear JKR saying so... and maybe that day I'll think (quoting Amanda Leigh) that "Maybe Albus and Minerva are SO good at keeping their relashionship a secret than not even JKR knows about it" Love, Isabel
ADMM all the way!

I've voted for I really don't know. I would like to have them married, but the HP books are so much about Harry, there is just to little of Albus and Minerva to really be sure how their relationship is. Of course they're really good friends, but more than that ... I'm not sure. But I agree with ismaco and Amanda Leigh, Albus and Minerva are probaly so good at hidding their relationship that not even JK Rowlings knows about it. ADMM shipper for life!

I guess I notice things in the movies and books between Dumbledore/McGonagall because I'm a fan and I'm looking for something between them, but they seriously appear to be a couple to me. The thing is, in the movies the scenes can be played up or down, and in the books it's the reader who interprets what they feel the story is saying, so I guess we can't really know until J.K. tells us.

Well I'va always wanted to explore thir relationship in the books properly, has anyone ever read an editorial of sorts about their relationship because it would be easier to see then?

I voted married. I like the idea of unspoken love, but they always seem to have an in-joke (like at the start of GoF, when Albus begins to tell a joke and Min clears her throat). A lot of other scenes in the books (*and* movies ) suggest they're married too. The scene in CoS in which he says "Minerva found him on the stairs" and she says "if Albus hadn't been coming for hot chocolate" *may* suggest non-marriage as it gives an illusion of separation, but I think that's deliberate. People could think they were sleeping in separate bedrooms and both got out and happened to be in the same place at the same time, but I prefer to think that he went downstairs for hot chocolate ("if Albus hadn't come for hot chocolate") and she followed and found Colin on the stairs. *giggle* The only thing that has really disturbed me is the way she occasionally calls him "Dumbledore". Why would she do that? In OotP she says "Where will you go, Dumbledore?" and it didn't seem right to me. It's okay in the fourth movie when she's chiding Moody but when actually addressing him? I suppose it's because it was in front of Harry and she was exasperated and annoyed because he told her to stay at Hogwarts when she wanted to protect him (aww). Albus *does* call her Minerva in front of Harry, but he's more of the type.

It really interests me to see when they will address each other by their first names or use "Dumbledore" or "McGonagall". Albus is probably more open with their relationship, and Min seems to want to keep it more private. It's also interesting to see in certain scenes if the movies play up the relationship more or if the book reveals more.

*smiles*
I was convinced they were married until the end of the HBP. I thought when Dumbledore died all would be revealed about their secret love for each other...
Alas, t'was not to be.

Married. The thought of them hiding their secret marriage so voldemort doesn't find out is kinda romantic.

Star light star bright the first star I see tonight I wish I may I wish I might have this wish I wish tonight.. I wish JKR would stop playing with my mind and announce Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall married already so that when I become an old granny I'll be able to die happy!! Just kidding! But I did vote "married" because somewhere in those wonderful books are little hints of MMAD marrage.. At least I think so..
Riku-sama is Out!! o(^.^)o

I voted "married" for a number of reasons, but the main one being that, even if it's only in secret, you know everyone deserves to find love. Everyone should be able to marry the man/woman of their dreams. So even if they have to keep it in secret, they are married. ~mmadlyinlove~

I may be three years late and the books may all be out . . .but I still say they have an unspoken love for one another.
