I just wondered, I'm thinking Min might win, but I don't know.
The Giant Squid obviously has a fighting chance.
I have no idea where that came from btw.

That's had but I have to say Min. I don't know why I like her more. It might have something to do with the fact she's kinda like my real favorite teacher from school.

She's always been my favourite character, she's just class, and was right from the start.

I voted for Minerva. I like Albus almost as much, but I guess I can kinda relate to Min more.

I voted Minerva purely because I enjoy reading her character so much! I love that she is this outwardly strict, stern, prim and proper woman and then every now and then you see these fun glimpses of her personality (eg. with Quidditch, and plotting against Umbridge) that reveal a passionate and fun-loving side to her. So yeh - but Albus is great to! I love the snippets of wisdom that we get from him throughout the series, not to mention his fab dueling skills! Cant WAIT to see the ministry scenes in OotP movie! Michael Gambon and Raphe Fiennes having it out? Awesome.

I voted for Minerva because I can relate her to myself and my all-time favourite teacher. She is my favourite character in the book anyway. I agree with what Avadagypsy said about Minerva appearing to be one way and then accidentally exposing other sides of her personality! - Jess

Albus I adore...but Minerva is just so cool. She's the kind of woman I look up to and would like to be.

I would have to say Minerva. I for some reason just feel that I can relate to her character better. It's sad, but I'm alot like her in some ways.
Also because she can transform into a cat. That to me is just awsome.

I voted for Minerva .....It was a close race with the Squid though. ^__^ I just love the double persinality. It's the kind of person I want to be. Its really funny when you are reading the books and you see Minerva doing something that you would do, or have done. There is just something about her that just, in my opinion, makes her the most real character in the books. ALot of the charaters have one side, and thats all there is too them. Not everybody is really like that, and Minerva shows and proves that point. There is an elegancy to her character that nobody else seemes to have. Strict, but fun. LOving and caring, but cold. She is the perfect character. ^__^ Sometimes like I said before, I wish I was just like her. ABle to control and hide some emotions well.
the Giant Squid though... I don't know.. he is always there just relaxing. SOmething else I love to do though. ^__________^

I also voted for Minerva, but not just for that reason. I also feel that I'm like her in some aspects, and I wish I could be like her in other aspects. Her character is kinda like my hero.

MINERVA!!! Not that you'd guess from my penname or anything...or that fact ALL of my fics have her as a central character. Come on though! The woman is tall (I'm tall okay, let me have my wierd reason), strict but fair, a damn good sarcastic sense of humour (sarcasm IS the greatest form of wit), she's brave and looks after her charges damn well! Hmmm...I think I'm identifying with her a bit much. Strict teacher, sarcastic *starts banging head on desk*

Erm, duh! Albus! He's the best character ever written. don't get me wrong, I love Minerva and everything but Albus is incomparable, he's just ... well Albus Dumbledore! I love him to bits, He's always been my favourite character and I actually understand him better than I do Minerva. I don't believe in god but if there was one, he'd be exactly like Dumbledore. He's funny, fair, brilliant, little bit insane, insightful, confident - did I mention brilliant? - eccentric, everything I adore in a person. I hate to say it but there's a teacher like Minerva in just about every school whereas Albus is a rare and precious gem. Sorry to the die hard Minerva fanatics but there's no comparison between the two. Dumbledore rules. aphelion

Noooooo. *Ahem* There isn't a Minerva in every school, any teacher can be strict and unfair. Or even fair. But there's just something there, something more.

I have to say that I identify with Minerva more, maybe relate to her more or would like to emulate her, or something, but I just have to vote for Albus! He's noble, fun, joyful, able to grieve and to be strong, he's giving and loving, but he's also powerful and can get angry. He's protective, and he works hard, but he also makes mistakes, and he recognizes them. Not to mention that the Albus whom I have always pictured from Book One on is an absolutely gorgeous man -- old, but gorgeous. I always have pictured a cross between Peter O'Toole and Richard Harris, with lots of flowing white hair and long white beard, so I was thrilled when they cast Richard Harris. (I am afraid that I disagree strongly with the Michael Gambon fans out there -- his performance actually makes me physically cringe at times, and the make-up and costume are not as good as they were with RH.) I was disappointed that Peter O'Toole wasn't chosen to take the role after RH died. He still has a lot of charisma, and he's still in good physical shape. <sigh>
