I said heck no, but I was seriously considering putting ask Min. ;D I think, though, that she would agree with us that it's a part of who he is, and I'm sure it's one of the many things she loves about him.

I like his beard, however they could get rid of the acorn beard tie in the movie and I would like it better. Let's face it that tie is very silly. However it would make a good cat toy for Minerva. In fact I remember reading a story where it was a cat toy to amuse Min. I just wish I could remember which one it was. It was cute (the story...not the tie).

Albus HAS to keep the beard. He wouldn't be Albus without it.

He's gotta keep it. It's just part of him.

Dumbledore was specifically described as having a beard so long he could tuck it into his belt. Why would anyone want to change a classic?

I imagine Dumbledore would look so strange without his beard! I think the beard is a part of who he is - part of his overall quirkiness that we all love.

I went for the 'heck, no...' option. But I can't help thinking that, over time, they've had some odd conversations:
Minerva bumps into Albus in the Great Hall one sunday afternoon: 'Why, my dear Professor,' said Albus chirpily. 'I see you've had a hair cut!' Minerva looked at the Headmaster in disbelief. 'My dear Headmaster, my hair is up in its customary bun, with exactly seven hair grips, and I'm wearing a hat. How do you know that?!' 'I'm something of an expert when it comes to the trimming of ones hair,' said the Headmaster with a sage nod. Minerva regarded him curiously, taking in that long, long beard and his yet longer, and bushier head of hair. 'Albus,' she said gently, very aware of his slightly loose sanity, 'you haven't had a hair cut in all the decades I've known you.' The Headmaster paused to consider this and then answered quite blithely: 'It's on the to-do list.'
Ahhh, the potential for so many stories just about Albus's hair!

really guys leave it to Min. Anyway she wouldn't dare to shorten his beard. She knows that it makes him even more special and in my opinion she is really fond of his long beard and hair.
