I've seen several different animagus forms for Albus in other people's fanfiction and I was wondering what the general agreement was on his animagus form, if he indeed has one.

Although his name DOES mean white bumblebee, I would have to say his animagus is an owl. ~mmadlyinlove~

I could see him as either a white owl or a bumblebee, but I read somewhere about his animagus form being a white wolf, I find that very fitting, too.

OK, I probably have watched LotR too often, and I see Gandalf as Dumbledore or vice versa, so I connect him with an eagle; of the proposed animals the phoenix would be the best match.

I actually like the idea that he *doesn't* have an animagus. He can do pretty much everything else, so it's nice that MM has something of her own.
I suppose I could see him as an owl; that's the one that jumped out of the list. But it reminds me too much of David Eddings books, so it would just get confusing for me.
Also, I think I read a fic once where he was a hummingbird...maybe that's where you got the idea, alter.ego.alana???

Owl would work. Bumblebee would be a nice play off the name. I even like the idea of him not having one. Basically I like everything on this front.

I can see him as a wise old owl. Though bumblebee sounds like his name, I just can't picture him as a bee.

either a kneazle (;D), a phoenix, a bumblebee or an owl...
I don't know... I think I'll chose when I'll make a fic about it... ;D

Hey, and what would you think about lemon drop? Well, unless someone's eat him... And, being serious, I think it would be a phoenix or an owl. They're smart and helpful animals, they would fit him.

I'd say he's a phoenix, I mean his familiar is a phoenix?! Or does that not really matter?

I agree I believe he is a phoenix but I believe that so because Fawkes has stayed with him for so long.
