Charles Xavier is awesome and that scene was so sad (I saw it in theaters twice and bought the dvd last week), but Eric (Magneto) is my favorite. I love Ian McKellen...he is such a great actor.

Harris, Harris and Harris!! He was wonderful. Maybe that's because I saw the 1st HP film before I read any of th"Gandalf", I was quite sure he would be the next Dumbledore when I heard that Harris had died and so were most of the people I know.

they would be so great together as albus and minerva...nothing is capitalized 'cuz i have my cat in one arm so she won't climb in front of the screen and so i have to write w/ only one hand. the things we do for our cats. thanks for the pic, btw.

aahh they look so good together. I must be one of the only people who didn't consider Ian would be the second Dumbledore. But on the basis of this pic maybe it would have been a good pairing.

I always pictured them both tall and willowly Albus being a little more muscled under all those robes but Michle is a crappy Albus.

Poor Ian... If only he knew how much suffering he could have saved us from! I love him as Gandalf, but yea, there's nothing like getting typecast, no?
Sometimes I do like the energy displayed by Gambon, Harris did look ill in CoS, but he's so... well, Dumbledore would wear more colour than gray! Plus Gambon's voice! It's so nasal!
I'm positively dreading the Harry/Dumbledore scene in OotP; it could have been brilliant, but I'm scared it's going to be ... well, ruined! Can Gambon do wise, unshaken and steadfast? Or will he be bouncing off the walls, as Dan/Harry will be? Dumbledore's sad regret seems to require a world-weary wisdom that Gambon hasn't so far demonstrated.
And are you kidding me..? He hasn't read the books!?!

stupid of him really, to say that. He should have at least read the first one-it's shortest and has some good Dumbledore scenes. I wonder what JK thinks of him playing AD without having read the books.
