I personally love these delicious morsels, but I know many people who hate them. I was wondering what the people on this site thought of them. And for those of you who are wondering...I will eat them in any form, but I prefer to open the box for a week or so to let them grow stale before enjoying my treat. This preference runs in my family. For those of you wondering what I'm talking about (the ones who chose option 3) this is a pic of a classic peep, the yellow chick. I like the chicks, especially the white ones and the bunnies, but I don't care much for the peeps that come out on Christmas of Halloween. And yes, I'm certifiably nuts. That runs in my famility too.

I chose option 3. But seeing the pic I understand now. I love normal marshmallows toasted over a campfire..mmm all gooey inside. Childminerva I will be sending a psychiatric team round to check on you..STALE marshmallows??? Aren't they just like cardboard??

No...they taste lovely that way. Peeps are a bit different than normal marshmallows. And believe me, that will be the least of the psych teams worries when they meet me!

I don't like them, to much sugar. My horse loves them, though.

I love normal marshmallows toasted over a campfire..mmm all gooey inside. I have to agree with that. I chose option three also. Just to be clear, are they just marshmellows that are made in different shapes?

I think they are a bit fluffier and stickier, I guess they have less powdered sugar or flour or whatever it is that makes marshmallows less sticky. Of course that is before you let them get stale! I can't believe I found someone else who enjoys that! My high school art teacher used to keep them in the freezer part of her fridge she had in the classroom. We would have stale peeps year round! It was amazing! I try to do that, but I don't have the will power to leave them. lol My favorite are blue bunnies!

beMMADfabulous-I know tons of people who would agree osusprinks-yay! someone who understands the joys of eating them stale! It is hard to resist when I first open them, but I love when forget about them for a week or so and them find them again! (the rest of you may laugh, but osusprinks and I now share a very special and unique bond)

I actually have friends that belong to a Peep-worshiping cult....
No, not really.
But I ADORE Peeps.
The yellow chicks are the best.

I love marshmellows! Though I can't say I know all the types like some of you do, i've only ever seen Big Marshmellows (great fun for toasting) and smaller ones.

Oh! You are missing out on one of the most vital aspects of life, m'dear! Allow me to enlighten you! You take four Peeps, two rabbits and two chicks. The rabbits are the "Knights" and the chicks are the "Noble Steeds." You take one chick Peep and stick one rabbit Peep on of it with a toothpick. Then you do the same thing to another one. Then you stick toothpicks in the chicks so that they poke out the front. Then you stick them in the microwave for one minute. They expand. One (or possibly both) will get so big that it pops the other one with it's toothpick and deflates it! ;D ;D ;D ;D It's great fun!
