Hardest to Write?

Okay, I just had to find out what everyone thought. I think the hardest thing for me to write is a lemon, even if I do enjoy reading them. I could never find the right words. LOL! How about everyone else? ~mmadlyinlove~

I always find lemons the hardest to write as well. I sit blushing bright red and worry that it's totally wrong and unrealistic before I finally give in a post telling myself if it's to terrible and humiliateing I can just remove it lol. After that probably song fics.

Hardest? Hmm... it is to write humor. I have some funny ideas, but they always leave of being funny when I write. This is terrible. I do not know write humor. After that... it could say mystery.

Poetry is hard for me...I would say humor because when I try to write Humor fics I can't, yet sometimes the fluff I write is funny without me trying too hard.

lemons! I just can't write them. After lemons would be angst. I seem to cry halfway whenever I write them.

I've never tried to write a lemon...but I suppose if I did I would be too embarassed to finish it.

I chose lemon, simply because I've never tried and... well, I don't see myself writing one of those anytime soon. lol I wouldn't be able to do it justice at all.

After lemon, it would probably be mystery. Humor is hard for me to write too because my fics are never funny (even when they're meant to be!).

But seriously, I picked angst. There is nothing more horrible for me than making my characters hurt. It's okay if I am going to make them better by the end, but it physically hurts me to leave them hanging in their despair, which is when I start drinking...right Jaye?

Oh definately Mystery... I could never come up with a plot 'mysterious' enough to satisfy even the most mundane reader. The only mystery would be why I ever attempted to write one in the first place!

Seriously, Cranky leaves that sorta stuff to Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell, etc!

I'm really not clever enough! lol

I have trouble writing everything. lol. I can do fluff and humour okay. But not much else.

Fluff. I honestly cannot write fluff. I've tried, and each and every time have failed. Lemons are quite hard to, from the perspective that someone else could be getting...well, turned on by what you're writing, but it's doable for me.
Oh, and timetravel - I know that could potentially cover a lot, but the nit-picky details are enough to give you a head-spin.

For me there is always a part in the story were I just loose my tain or thought. And its hard for me to get it back. So I have half writen stories that people are still waiting to see how they turn out! Its terrible! Half the time my stories move to slow and people loose intereste, and sometimes they move to fast. So I say all are hard! lol

I'm usually really impressed with a humor piece, because my own sense of humor is very different from either Minerva's or Albus'. I find it easier to relate to Severus or Flitwick, actually, in terms of humor.

I don't mind writing Lemons, as using life's experiences are easiest there. Even though I differ from Minerva and Albus, the actual feelings that go into being in love are similar, so it's the easiest for me to write. Although I haven't posted any *blush* as I know some people very well and it would be awkward HAHA

for me it's definatly humor, since it's hard t odo really well. It gets so cliche so quickly. Never wrote a lemon, so I can't really say for sure, but I can see that being hard as well

I love angst. but thats because I'm a bit of a sadist no, I just like writing drama and pain more. Just wrote one last night, but I can't post it since it's on the computer that doesn't connect to the internet

ETA adn I love songfics, I find them easiest. You have something to set the mood and tone of hte peice, so you can just go with it. Makes things easier for me

I would have picked Lemons had the last option not been there.

My problem is that I have to be in the groove to write. If I'm not... Well, I most likely will hide whatever I've written until the next time my harddrive crashes and takes it all away. Hurts less that way for some reason. *shrugs* And I've only done a few...uhm...implied lemons. I don't think I'm very good, so I steer clear of it.

As for what I love writing... Humour/fluff (and always one shots). Especially if the characters are in character in my head, then dialogue is usually easy for me. If they're OC, then I probably won't write them at all. Anyways, it's the stuff in between the dialogue that kills me when I am in the mood to write. My imagery sucks! Hence why I write, on average, only three stories a year. Lol.

I think mystery is hardest to write. I haven't attempted a lemon so I wouldn't know about them.

I chose drama because I normally have trouble trying to get the plot to move along. I prefer writing introspective angsty character pieces which have absolutely no plot whatsoever. I do have problems writing lemons as well, but I tend to steer clear of writing so it's ok, but if I do have to put one into the fic, I laways kinda write the same thing, no matter what pairing it is lol. I find it difficult to actually wirte songfics, as in getting the story to fit the song perfectly, but most of my stories are normally inspired by songs, they really help me to write and then everytime i lose my train of thought I can just listen to the song and get it back again.

And, I agree with monise, I have to be in the right mood to write otherwise I just produce absolute tripe. But I can never bring myself to delete something I've written no matter how bad it is, I always have to wait until my computer goes beserk and destroys it for me.

Even if I'm in a rut, I try to write something. I'm one of those 'I will sit down for 'x' amount of time today and write' people. It tends to unleash something in any case. Sometimes I only get a sentence down, other times I go 'hey, that's an idea...' and the fic continues. It's just a matter of actually *doing* it for me.

I would say that lemons are the toughest to write for one reason the wording just has to be nearly perfect or it sounds retarded.

I agree. That is why I haven't finished the one lemon fic I started cuz everything I wrote just sounded stupid and horrible. Hahaha. ~mmadlyinlove~
