I was pretty happy with it. It made me laugh, it almost made me cry...good movie. Just...don't compare it to the book too closely [as it goes with any book/movie thing.] I liked it better than 4 though.

I liked it as a movie, I just can't watch the movies and think of the books. There were plenty of good parts. But then I was like WTF!? when Avada Kedavra was used on Sirius.

I like it for a movie. The disappointment I feel with the movie now is only because I sat through the whole thing comparing it to the book. I know it was probably a mistake, but I always have to do it at least once. The movies and books are separate in my mind.

Yeah, I agree. I think it's horrible if you compare it to the books, especially since it was my favorite book. But meh, it was okay... ~mmadlyinlove~

hm. I watched it yesterday. It was pretty okay, but compared to the books, some parts are screwed. And when Min didn't get attacked by Umbridge, I went WTF?!?

Yeah! I got mad when the stunning part was skiped, and when they didnt have Minerva say "He will not be single handed!" That made me so mad!

lol. He thought that some of the books are rather longwinded and he didn't really like it. So when I dragged him off to watch ootp, he freaked and told me that he was never going near a hp book again. I think it was because he agreed with me on the fact that admm does exist.

as a film, I liked it. Though I would have loved to have seen a lot of the great MM and ADMM scenes, they wereny necessary to the plot of the film. The stunner scene, however, left a huge plothole. All of my friends agreed that that was a stupid thing to leave out, and honestly the two or three minutes it would have taken wouldn't have interupted the flow at all and would have explained alot.

I thought it was terrible, except for the duelling scene. Minerva had what...five lines? And she backed down to Umbridge? Er, no! Not to mention the lack of the office scene, class inspection, careers interview, Peeves AND the stunner scene. What were they thinking!? Even my friend who I went with, who doesn't like Minerva, went 'Umm, that's kind of INTEGRAL to the book.' Urgh, and that's my favourite book too. Bollucks, absolute bollucks. I am now sticking to my own little HP world. Abandon all hope, ye who try to follow me. And yes, absolutely butchering a quote in the previous sentence.
