Looking back I was a little meh about the book after I started reading it. I wanted it to be more interesting at get go. But it got there. I kept getting lost with stuff tho. Like the wand. He said it was Dracos..... I missed something there. But I liked it. I LOVED that he got to talk to Dombldore (I love that man. lol) and I loved the way Harry defended McGonagall. And I loved McGonagalls reaction when she thought he was died. I loved the parts of the fighting, when Harry when into the forest, and when he came back alive. I just loved everything that happened at Hogwarts. Molly "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!" Made me laugh. and When Harry was fighting Voldemort OMG! but yeah. lol.

* * * * * * * I loved this book. I laughed so hard at the "Not my daughter you bitch!" part also. And also when harry stuck up for mcgonagall, that was pretty great. The Kings Cross scene was really good. But the coolest thing ever was how he killed Riddle with expellarimus when he was told earlier to stop using it. That part was great. So overall i loved the book. =)

I loved the way he was walking to Voldemort when was explaining everything to him.
I also loved when they were in the 19 years later thing and everyone started stairing at the group and one of the Kid Albus said, "Why are they all staring?" I loved how Ron said, "Don't let it worry you. Its me. Im extremely famous." That made me laugh. But I wana know who is Headmaster/mistress!! lol. Im thinking it would be McGongall but idk. lol

Ahh, that would be so cool if she was Headmistress. I loved when Ron said that, i laughed so hard. I actually liked 19 years later, while most people really didn't.

I loved the book, even though it did really confuse me at times :s I thought it was meant to be a childrens book?! meh, maybe I'm just dumb. But is it just me, or were no teachers married? I was a bit disappointed by that, but I think the last fight made up for it. Especially where everyone thought Harry was dead and McGonagall was like 'NOO!'. I liked that bit, idk why though. But I don't think anything will ever make up for JKR writing down definitely that AD and MM are like the ultimate couple *sigh*

* * * * * * For me I really didn't appreciate the book. The end was great the battle everything, but the stuff that led up to it didn't satisfy me. It took me till they broke into Gringotts to get into it. To me it felt like she was dragging it on, and I felt it was missing some key items. Truthfully we didn't learn much about any one except Dumbledore which was good to some extent. The whole nineteen years later was a bit of a disappointment to me as well. I guess I am just hard to please

lady lavender I so know what you mean about that. lol. I am really hard to please. And the points leading up the the battle took a really long time. i got really into the book when they got to Hogwarts. lol. So it took me a while. When McGonagall came in I was all over that book like no tomorrow. lol. But yeah, After they got to Hogwarts I didnt wana put the book down. The 19 years later could have been better. I wish that it had said more about everyone else. But I guess it just leave room for her to write another book. lol

I got a bit bored to be honest. Ron was SUCH a twat for most of it, and I really felt like hitting him (if that were possible). The romance between Ron and Hermione was...well, quite cringe-worthy (bringing back memories of the horrible scaly monster in HBP *shudders*). I was SO happy that Neville came into his own a bit though. When he had the plants I was grinning so wildly that my Dad thought I was completely nuts.
Minerva was bloody brilliant (also got funny looks for the 'yes!' when she rounded the corner with her hair down yelling 'CHARGE!!!') and when she screamed 'NO!' was so heart-wrenching. The Dumbledore thing was pretty cool (I knew he was like that!).
But Molly Weasley winning against Bellatrix? Uhhh....I don't think so. I'm just speaking logically here. Bellatrix Lestrange; Voldemort's right-hand woman (and implied more), expert at dueling and the Dark Arts, can fight off more than one fully-trained Auror at once, hell, she can deflect a curse from DUMBLEDORE versus Molly Weasley, a witch who before then had shown no extraordinary magical power and yet can suddenly kill a known sociopathic Death Eater. It just didn't ring true for me.
And before anyone else does, I've had the 'there's nothing more powerful than a mother protecting her young' speech. And I can sort of see their point...but still...eh, I dunno. It could be me being wierd and trying to look at things too logically.
And the ending! Why was Malfoy not in prison!?!!?!?!?! And the last three words...*cringes* Just a bit soppy for my taste; I was expecting Ron to die at least.
AND she killed Fred! My all-time faovurite Weasley! I am still in mourning.
Other than that, it was pretty cool though.

Minerva was awesome! however. there was not nearly enough of her, and I really thought the ending was kind of... cheap. for lack of a better word. It seemed to me like it was "let's argue for 600 pages about how to find the answers, and then we'll just have a lovely little chat with Dumbledore in limbo and he'll explain it all in five"
Not that I'm not glad that she brought Dumbledore back, it just seemed like she took the easy way out instead of plotting out how the trio could find all the answers on their own. And I think it would have been much more interesting if they had.
So I voted no. But the McGonagall scenes...made my day!

I think it could have been better. So much better. She wasn't on her A-Game, and, in my opinion, published something that seemed like a first draft. I said 'Meh' because there were very good points in the book, but in general, wasn't as terrific as books 5 and 6, which are my favourites.

I basically loved the ending. I was shocked. I love the dewling part and when every one found out that Harry wasnt dead!

I know what you mean. The whole book should have been as interesting as the last part of the book. but that would have been next to impossible and we wouldnt have gotten the book until like next year. so yeah. lol. and apparently McGonagall is not going to be Headmisstress at all. Kinda dissapionting. heres the site www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19935372/

I think she meant yes, but not in 19 years. Because otherwise, when asked who the headmaster at that time is, she wouldn't say it isn't McGonagall anymore. Still, how could she be that old? Anyway, we can agree not to listen to what JK says

I am still fuming over the 'getting on a bit comment'. Grr... I know JKR's the author an' all (random Southern accent there) but that just infuriated me. Even Dad (who rolls his eyes when I start ranting, which is often,) thought it was bulls***. Quote: 'Too old? The woman skids around a corner and her only real reaction is to straighten her hat (he's only read to GOF); she is *not* old or 'getting on a bit'. And what old woman has black hair?' So, I am maintaining the 'she is Headmistress'. I do love him on these occassions.
