How we ship.

Hi! It's always interesting to see other ships folks here like -- and how recently the lovely little Charming Roots Board (*waves to Sprinks & Co.!*) took off and includes a lot of members from this board. So I've been wondering about how the folks who visit this board "ship" -- how they ship HP, actually. I'm sure there has been some variant thread on this topic, and probably a poll, as well (I have seen some of the discussion threads on ships and antiships), but I haven't found anything exactly like this. So, I hope people will chime in!

BTW, I feel very "in" and with it (do people still say that?) because I knew that "OTP" means "One True Pairing" (or is it "Pair"? LOL!), and if you didn't, now you do! (I think this may be the first time I've had the opportunity to use the term since I learned it! Ain't life just filled with wonderful new experiences?! ;D)

ADMM is my main ship...but I chose the third option because I am also a huge lover of RLSB and, of course Charming Roots as well as a few other adult ships within the HP fandom.

I think after finishing HP7 and having mainly only read ADMM stories, it's a pretty safe bet that they would be my favourite HP ship. However, I voted for other ships, including student pairing and ADMM, since my other ship is Ron and Hermione and to some degree, Snape/Lily.

I wish there was a "ADMM is my ship, but I'm up for anything with either MM or AD" since thats my stance. They're my favorte characters, pretty much, so I like to read anything with them, though ADMM is always the top

ADMM is and always has been my OTP. I've changed my mind about every other paring and every other fandom, but it's always been Albus and Minerva to me. However, I did not pick this option.

This is due to a little thing called Gellert Grindelwald. He was a genius and had pretty blond curls. Gelly was also an elitist bastard bent on world domination and muggle oppression. Naturally, I was in love. Also, it appeared to my eyes, was my Bumblebee.

And also, this art stuff. It's all really good. If nothing else, I'd recommend "It Makes One Sane."

And bloody everything that is, this fic. (Rather smutty in chapters.) It is without a doubt, one of the best things I have ever read, on the web and off of it.

Also, pretty much everything here, the exception being the piece of mediocrity I saw fit to post there for reasons I know not.

lol not matter how many times you tell us, I don't think you're ever going to convert many people to ship AD with Grindelwald. jokes...

I chose 'ADMM is my ship, but will read other ships.' Because ADMM is the ship I've always stuck by and what I read most of, but I will read Minerva/prettymuchanyone. except a student *shudders.* I especially like MM/hooch. never figured out why, but still....
And of course snape/narcissa/lucius (delete character as appropiate. or not if you don't want to ) and snape/anyonewithapulse. or without if I'm in a strange mood. jokes again.....
And I know pretty much everyone here squicked at the idea but MM/MW = wootwoot. and MM/Voldie or TR. Either or doesn't really bother me. And I love Bellatrix. I'd ship anyone with Bellatrix. I'd ship the Giant Aquid with Bellatrix. As long as Bella's being evil and treating them like a slave I'm happy....Bellatrix is allowed to fall in love with Snape or Lucius though....or Narcissa. But never EVER should she be in love with Roldolphus. He's too pathetic.

Whilst I've been writing this I've realised I like pretty much anything that has lots of room for angst. and lemons. and slash. that makes me happy. I do like things to be well written, but apart from that I think I'd read anything. Might not enjoy it, but I'd read it. I once read a Filch/Mrs. Norris-in-human-form fic. *shudders at the thought*

But of course the ultimate UTIMATE pairing (other than ADMM) is MM/BL.....that has everything. angst/good vs. evil/great characters/ and LEMONS *hums a happy tune*


but yes...I've rambled a bit there. hopefully some of it will make sense. and if anyone ships the pairings I've had a bit of a go at, I hope I didn't offend you.

Well, it's not that I'm trying to convert anyone, it's just that, if people ask "What do you ship?" or "How do you ship?" I'll answer them and say "I ship ADMM and Grindeldore! AND OMFGBBQ GRINDELDORE IS AWESOME!!!!" because I am a gushing fangirl, and I like to gush about the object of my fangirling.

I chose 'ADMM is my ship, but will read other ships.' I first started out with RoLo (from the X-Men), then one of my friends recommended the ADMM ship. I read one story, and I'm hooked. It was the first ship I really stuck with, but I won't mind reading stuff like SBMM, or Arygon.

SBMM...I can't really see that, but that's just me. I could see her with Remus more easily I think, they seem more similar, both teachers, not really the type to get into trouble and the like but, meh, maybe opposites attract?

Linu/Synth
Harry/Hermione
Tons/Lupin
Albus/Minerva
Aribeth/Fenthick

I know ADMM is at number 4 in my top 5 but I have reasons! My # 1 ship is Linu/Synth because Linu is so nice and Synth is so cool and there ship is so sad because Synth died! but their ship is cute! Harry/Hermione because they just are COOL! Tonks/Lupin because they match. Albus/Minerva because DUH why would I be on this board if I disliked ADMM! And Aribeth/Fenthick is last on my top 5 (they're lucky they made it!) because they're an awkward couple because Aribeth is like cool warrior princes type girl and Fenthick is scary wussy man!
