okay, i didnt give you choices becuase i wanted to be able to be really specific, and i wanted to give you all the same opportunity.
i like angst. not the moderatly romantic angst, the heart wrenching angst where they never get together or where one of them dies. an example would be "memories". (at least i think thats what its called..) on ff.net
i like writing fluff, but am starting to gravitate more towards angst.... *ducks as sprinks and elo begin bombarding her with the fluffinator (i came up with that myself. clever, dontcha think?)* ....but only because ther is less angst out there. i am starting o enjoy the ones were admm are highly disfunctional. (yes, sir francias drake's heir, you and you're addicting angst has begun to convert me.)
dont get me wrong, though, i still love me some good fluff every now and then.
uh...what else? oh yeah, uh, i dont really thrill for the "lets adopt harry!" ones, nor do i like the ones that minerva or albus have been with (other) students/ former students.
give me your thoughts!

I like the ones where one is hurt or sick (physically or emotionally) and gets comfort from the other, because those are usually more meaningful. I guess that I like a bit of angst, too. Most of my fics seem to border on it. Even "Photographs" has an angsty chapter. I hate most fics where they go on vacation together (except for one that I read; don't remember it's name) and where they do stuff in the Muggle world and have to act like Muggles...blah. I especially hate the "adopt Harry" fics, and generally I'm not a big fan of stories where they have kids, because their family is usually the focus in those and I don't like to get too AU, or OOC, which most of those are. Plus those generally have a happy tone to them... I also prefer reading stories about them when they're older (around the time the books take place or up to a decade before) as opposed to younger Albus/Minerva fics.

My favorite has to be fluff and romance, but I sometimes get in the mood for some angst or angsty-romance as well. However, I don't like fics where Albus or Minerva have been in a relationship with someone else, and I don't like student!teacher fics. I generally prefer older Albus and Minerva fics. And no, I don't usually care for the "adopt Harry" fics either.
Humor is good too, but I hate when people write ADMM as a crack pairing.
And sorry, but I hate lemons when Albus and Minerva aren't even married.

*Beats mmadcrazyfan with the fluff bat* I'm going to send Sprinkles over here to, to keep up our side Let's see. I'm a total and complete romantic at heart. I love romance and fluff, and my favourites are two things: i) A really long romance story, with lots of drama, a dash or two of angst, and bits of lots of genres when they finally get together, but the story doesn't end there and there is more to come. (RaM, anyone? My current example. There are many more). ii) Or a completely fluffy oneshot, preferably where they start off not together, but end up together, and with a killer one-liner at the end. That said, I'll read almost any kind of fluff/romance, and stories were they are already together I do like. I have a certain fondness for humour and for lemons, also, which comes and goes tbh. I went through a phase of being bored of lemons etc. and thinking they were all the same but I was forced to take that back... I hate hate hate angst. Well. I don't. Sometimes we all need a good bit of break-your-heart angst when they'll never be together, but I rarely do. Not my favourite genre at all.

hmm... I generally like fluff and admm fanfictions detailing how both of them met. I also like humor and really long and dark romance stories. I don't mind angst, but I really dislike badly written angst. The angstier the better. =)
I kind of like lemons, but only if they are married. =)

I like lemons, whether they are married or not, but no studentMin lemons. I also like fluff and humor a lot too. I don't like angst or when they adopt Harry or when Hermoine is their real child.

I hate angst and love fluff. I also hate stories that don't have happy endings. I just feel I can get my daily dose of angst by watching the news.

i understand completely, the news can be so depressing, however i have always viewed admm as a more angsty romance, becuase in my little world, they never thought they could be together, and they broke up. however, if in you're little world theyre married with children, i wont critizize you, because i do love to read rot your teeth fluff sometimes

I dislike the ones where Min dated Tom first, the Hermione is their real child ones, and vacation ones.

*Swings fluff bat at mmadcrazyfan again*
I'm not completely against angst, of course not. But after the final piece of angst I am still to write I am giving up writing ADMM angst. And I only read it because of the author now.
Student!Minerva fics are interesting. Some I love, and they work. Others are wrong on many levels. Even Student!Minerva lemon fics I like and they work. (Come September is a good example).
I don't mind lemons where they aren't married at all. Though I can see why people dislike them. It's just about personal values and beliefs, I suppose, and it's perfectly understandable on both sides, I think. As long as people don't flame about things, we'll get along happily as usual. Do the people who dislike lemons when they're unmarried like lemons when they are?

Yeuk! Talk about hard decisions! (For those interested I have been reconverted to MMAD. I blame Rosanna and Cranky Cauldron.)
I love 'Noveau', which I guess you'd put under 'Drama.' That story really draws you in; when is that girl updating? My eye starts twitching when I see it hasn't been. Well, not really but you get the idea.
So ... drama I guess would be my top one (such as 'Seashells' which I also adore.) Don't get me wrong, I love angst but it can heaped on so much and I admit I've got sick of it lately.
Dislikes: excessive fluff. I just can't handle it. Also fics where they have children (the exception is Alexannah here); I tend to find the kids exceptionally irritating.

I really love angst, and fics where one of the characters seems to be a bit messed up in the head. they're my fave (L)
No offence to anyone here, but I absolutely detest 'adopt-harry' fics. I can't stand fics where they have kids either, and the idea that they're married makes me want to smash my head on my keyboard. I don't like pointless fluff too much either, I prefer fics that have angsty chunks even if they have a happy ending.

Woah! MinnieQuill is back! *happy dance* Okay, back to the topic at hand, I agree with Blue. One of my favorite fics was "It Will Make you Feel Better", which is on the challenge board if you haven't read it. It's agnsty, but you can tell that they do love each other. Alot. Those are the good ones. I do like romance and humor, just not as much as agnst. *ducks* .Do the people who dislike lemons when they're unmarried like lemons when they are? Hmm..well...Lemons aren't my favorite. I like occasional fluff with citrusy flavor, but not that often. "Interruptions" is a good example of that. I love student!minerva fics when they are well written, just not student!minerva lemons (although "Come September" was an extremly good fic and well written, it just isn't my favorite)

I really enjoy the more cannon stories as well, but mostly because the characters are more out of character the OOC and non-cannon stories.

Oh, do come to the dark side, mmadcrazyfan. We actually have real cookies! Chocolaty ones! ;D And thank you very much for the compliment. I like dysfunctionalashell!fic because, too me, it's the most probable for them. Albus rarely, if ever, tells anyone what's going on in that big brain of his, and Minerva is totally emotionally constipated. Therefore, I can't really imagine them ever being happy enough for long enough that they would actually be having enough sex (unless it's hate!sex, which I can't see producing offspring) to conceive chilluns, so kid!fics are not my favorite. I also hate it when they're married, because Albus is not the marrying type; he's far too unconventional to be like "Ooo, let's participate in a traditional ceremony designed to oppress women so that our natural love can be legally recognized in a court of law, isn't that just a jolly idea!" [EDIT: LOL! Blue! I agree 100%.] I hatehatehatehate fluff. Fluff in this instance being "Ooo, I lov you," "Ooo I love you tooo," "Ooo' let's make out," "Okay!" "Ooo, aren't we precious?" However, non-explicit PWP romance can be absolutely lovely. (It's good I feel this way since is one of the two types of fic I can actually write . ) And anything that's intentionally funny and is actually funny is good by me.

*Comes back, armed with fluff bat calling for back up* You know, fluff isn't really all bad. It's escapism, and it can still be in character and romantic and fluffy without being 'I love you!' 'I love you too!'. It just has a bad reputation for you angst lovers, and honest to God it can have a beauty equal to the beauty of some really tragic angst. Though I agree in canon it's unlikely they have this marriage, this happiness I believe in. Well in canon it is now impossible, but prior to JKR's outing of Albus. So I've given up on canon. I think morgan72uk does an excellent job of showing a real relationship between them. Marriage in A Convenient Fiction, but if you're really against marriage try Dark Nights. I too really hate fics where they have children. I can just about cope with a pregnancy or older children but I prefer fics without them. The things with the marriage is I think it would have to be a secret one at the very most. I think it could work without being this conventionality and oppression. I know Albus is secretive but I think Minerva knows far more than assumed. Humour I find a bit hit and miss. It has to be really good to get me to laugh. Lemons are good, but T rated fics with suggestive endings are often better. With a few exceptions with some authors. Right anyway, I'm off to get some back up in the form of the biggest fluff bat in the world

Elo, maybe you should give out cookies instead of hitting people with bats. Just kidding, you know I love you! I don't really enjoy humor that much, except for the good old parody fics. I love the ones that are just a whole bunch of random thrown into a fic with a little sprinkle of ADMM in it. That just makes me happy. However, with the rest of humor, it's usually just not that funny to me. I have no idea why, but...it's not..

I read just about anything really. It depends on my mood when I read the fic. I really enjoy angst, which is probably because I am/was "super emo" , especiall back in highschool, lol.
I can't really stand fics where they adopt Harry or Hermione is their daughter (except for one fic which was absolutely amazing. Props for Photos in the Attic!") It's too cliche for me.
