A Source Of Reference or Inspiration

I just wanted to recommend to anyone needing inspiration or references to magic and myths (not necessarily from JK's world) a book called "The Fantasy Encyclopedia". It's written by Judy Allen and published by Kingfisher.

Anyone who's local library has a copy should check it out. Even though it is a children's book and has short entries, I still found it comprehensive in terms of the origins and basic stories of everything from cauldrons to dragons to Dracula and back. It is also light and fascinating reading.

I just thought anyone who was writing and stuck on ideas or who wanted some inspiration would find it really useful.
