Okay, I am, by default, incredibly insane. Thus the basis for most of my stories on ff.net (ie Phantom of Hogwarts, Retrieving What Was Lost, and almost every one of my one-shots). But this idea has got to be the most hair-brained of all my ideas, which is saying something.
I was wondering what you might think if I were to do a cross over-fic of Harry Potter and Cinderella (MMAD of course) Now, I am, of course, going to be changing a lot of things to have it suit the HP world, but the story is gonna be the same basic theme. Minerva's home life is not the greatest, having her family call her up and asking her for things, even after a long day's hard work at the ministry... Her peers don't take her seriously because she is a woman living in a man's world, so therefore she must live with the day-by-day idiosyncrasies of the testosterone-filled heads of the male gender.... She has been prim and proper her entire life, and has never complained. So when the annual ministry ball comes, she feels the need to live a little, especially since it is a masque ball.
Albus is receiving a lot of grief as well, just having replaced Armondo as headmaster. Armondo and Fudge want him to get married, although Armondo is suggesting it nicely and Fudge is all Fudge about it. LOL! So at the ministry ball, he makes a deal... If he does not find who he is looking for there, they stop pestering him about it and he finds a woman on his own terms. He doesn't even want to go, but he does.
That's where they meet. Albus does not recognize her, although he knows he's met her before. She definitely remembers him and the crush she had on him as a student... They fall in love, yadda yadda yadda.. But then, at midnight, something's gonna happen (not quite sure what yet), causing a ruckus in the crowd and having them be seperated. Just before they are seperated, though, she drops something of great value to her (I'm thinking a piece of jewelry or something that has great sentimental value). And that is what he uses to try and track her down....
So, despite my lack of every single detail, what does everyone think? Please let me know.
