Me again..! I write a fic that has notoriously long chapters - 11,000 words roundabouts for each chapter, and I get differing comments upon it from my reviewers. I'm thinking about breaking the fic up into more chapters. So; are short chapters preferable? They would mean better updates, and be less time consuming.. ;D There is only one chapter left of Nouveau, but if I broke it up, it might be easier on the eye! And this question is relevant to the prequel that I want to write. As readers, what do you prefer? Hell, as writers, what do you find easiest! ~Oh Cranky One~

I find both okay just depending. From what I've read of Nouveau so far, I think the chapters are okay length wise. It would be hard to shorten those chapters and have them still sound okay. I think whatever is best for you is best for us.

I agree that the chapter length of "Nouveau" is fine, but if it's easier for you to have shorter chapters, that would be just as well. Just be sure you don't make the chapters too short, I always find it annoying when I get all excited at an update and it turn out to be only three paragraphs or something.

I like long chapters But I like frequent updates. I don't know. To be honest I think that if a chapter ends appropriately it's of little importance how long it is. If it works to end there, then that's the best length to use (as a reader).

Even if it's cliffhanger evil? No, I like that idea, I feel it's a good justification/defence/flame freezer..! You're all very tolerant readers! Thanks!
