Anyone know of any good ideas as to how to get over writer's block? I'm really quite stuck. I keep writing, and then reading it back and thinking "oh gawd..." and trying to re-write only to make it worse. I've tried writing other stories and drinking hot chocolate but everything that seems nice in theory keeps coming out dreadful. Ideas, folks?

No ideas I suffer a lot myself. I usually give it up as a bad job and come back to it in a day or so. Not a solution but I just get so disheartened writing a lot of stuff I hate.

I am empathising with you right now! I cannot for the life of me finish the next chapter of 'Here Where I Stand at the Turning of the Years'. I have updated 8 of my fics and written one-shots whilst writing this and the damn thing WILL NOT FLOW!!! *bangs head against wall* So yes, I have no advice as NOTHING has worked for me *starts swearing under breath*

Here's a tale of writing woe--I had the entire outline of Meant To Be written and chapter one posted...I still can't get Chapter 2 to come out properly. gah... I thought I was doing well on my new songfic, even though I've been working on it for weeks now but now I have a lot of contests fics to do for another site. Anyway, I hope you do get past this block--you will eventually.

Ack, I HATE writer's block. Especially when it's an assignment and you can't think of anything. I need help getting over writer's block too, if I try to then every part of the story from that point on will sound forced.
