Oh for crying out loud. It's the third day! THIRD! And I don't even have a story to upload anymore what with the export and edit trick but it's the principle of the matter now! What can those who have yet to post their first story do? Time for a third email methinks.
To whomever it may concern,
This is the third consecutive day that I am emailing you and the third consecutive day that this problem persists. However I will again detail it.
Documents will simply not upload for many people, and the error message given gives an invalid link to support.fanfiction.net. The problem continues to be frustrating for many authors. The only thing more frustrating is how we are all completely in the dark over the problem as you have failed to reply to emails, even with an automated message, or place details of your awareness to this problem on the fanfiction.net homepage.
It is important to fanfiction.net authors that they are able to post stories and update regularly and this persisting problem prevents this.
I am not the only author waiting for some kind of recognition to the problem by you and for it to be sorted out as soon as is possible.
I would greatly appreciate some reply to this, even if it is only for the homepage to be updated detailing the problem and when it will be fixed.

Well done.
That's what burns me the most...they never even acknowledge that there is a problem until after they fix it, and sometimes they never do!!!

I know! I completely agree. I'm just going to wait until the whole thing's resolved. It's a new fic I'm going to post anyway, so it gives me a chance to do some more with it.

This has been going on since the night of April 10th for me -- this is the 15th -- who knows when it actually started, since I hadn't tried to upload over there in several days. But it's getting pretty close to a week, and they still haven't put out any word on whether they even recognise it's a problem! Really, if I didn't have so many people who are reading RaM over at ffnet, I would just stop posting over there until it's fixed -- they might think everything is just fine since people continue to post stories. A new author, though, after trying to post their story for a couple of days, would just give up and likely never try again, not realizing it's not them. FFnet should really put some kind of a notice up on their homepage. Surely they don't think everyone who is emailing them with this problem is just an incompetent user who doesn't know what they're doing? Grrr!

Four days. FOUR DAYS! Argh. If I weren't so tired this would be longer and blunter. Well, there's always tomorrow.
To whom it may concern,
For the fourth consecutive day it is not possible for myself and others to upolad documents and the support link given is invalid.
It's especially frustrating as we are being ignored by you and no recognition of the problem has been made. Please stop leaving us in the dark over these problems, it is unfair.
Please look into the problem, and post a message on the homepage so we all know what has happened and when it will be fixed.
Anticipating some feedback, still, four days and counting,
Amy HMS Frivolity and Felines
*headdesk* If I didn't like my C2, that there are more stories on fanfiction.net and that I have readers and reviewers there I would leave ff.net behind. It's lucky for it that it's useful at all.
Still no reply, still nothing. Anyone else still emailing?

Yah, all kinds of people over at a LiveJournal community I belong to are freaking out as well. I'm glad I mostly stopped using FF.Net.

I think it's the fifth day I haven't been able to upload anything, but I may have lost track. I have no hope that it's going to change any time soon.
I've posted the directions for the work-around at another forum, and a couple people who have been reading my story on ffnet have emailed me and asked me how to post, so more people are managing to deal with the upload problem, but I'm somewhat surprised (though not terribly) that ffnet doesn't seem to care. At all. There's still no message on the homepage acknowledging that they're having a problem -- and as it's happening to people in Asia, Europe, and North America, it seems like it must be a pretty big problem!
Stupid people. Maybe they've all died or gone on vacation or something. <Pfft!>

I just tested it and it's working for me now. I did it twice, just to be sure. It seems someone got their ass in gear over there. Still nothing on the homepage about the problem.

Well, thank goodness! It's certainly about time. What is with those people? Not even a note, which would have taken someone two minutes to post, on the homepage letting people know they were looking into it and taking care of it. Of course, maybe they weren't until yesterday because whoever handles the support email didn't believe the hundreds (or thousands) of emails they must have received. So maybe they hadn't even looked into it for days. Idiots. . . . At least now we can upload chapters normally. I was getting sick of trying to upload, getting the error message, then going and cutting, pasting, and reformatting everything into an old document. It was really annoying. Phew!
