Do you have spare time on your hands? Do you like ADMM? (You should, if you're here!) Are you patient, open-minded and reasonably flexible (particularly with canon)? Can you work with British English? Can you work with HEC (High Emotional Content)? Can you work with a wide variety of characters and plot scenarios? Do you have some experience beta-reading? Could you also double as a sounding board for bouncing ideas? If you answered "Yes" to all the above, would you like to beta one of my many fanfics? I am becoming quite well known on FFnet as an author with a huge list of WIPs that write themselves very slowly. I can't help getting ideas, and if I push new ones aside and only focus on old ones then I lose the new ones - a complete waste. So I need, as well as beta-readers, people who I can discuss ideas with which should help me make up my mind and get chapters written quicker and easier. I wouldn't expect anyone to beta all my fics, so if you only have *some* spare time I'm still interested in hearing from you. Let me know the sort of story you'd prefer to beta/soundboard (odds are I would have something similar; my taste is fairly diverse), anything you WON'T beta, and the amount of time you can dedicate (in chapters, please). Oh, and whether you'd rather beta something I've already started writing in full, or don't mind. www.fanfiction.net/~alexannah

Well, I'm British, so I can definitely work with British English. I'm best with spelling, grammar and punctuation, language and continuity and I do have experience as a beta. As well as Harry Potter (obviously), I have knowledge of Doctor Who (my main fandom), Torchwood and SJA, although I'm drawing a blank on who this Mark that you ship with Sarah is. In answer to your question 'I’ve found only two fanfictions on the whole of FFnet with [Doctor/Master], isn’t it weird?', yes, but not really for ff.net. You might want to have a look at this community: community.livejournal.com/slash_lords/I also read Artemis Fowl and the Casson Family stories *squees a little at finding someone else* and watch Lovejoy, Life on Mars, Heroes and Primeval. I'd be willing to beta anything with any of those fandoms although I won't beta scenes of graphic sex or violence, if you write those. I could probably dedicate three to five hours a week, I have no idea what that would be in chapters. And, in answer to that last sentence, I don't mind.

I am SO sorry it took such a long time for me to reply - RL caught up with me (ugh) and then I just plain forgot (I have an apalling memory - please bear with me). Wow, I think I have found my soulmate beta-reader! At the moment I'm only really writing properly for Harry Potter, although I have a couple of vague ideas for DW crossovers. (BTW, Mark is Maria's dad.) There are a couple of fanfics I'm posting on FFnet (and one on the Petulant Poetess) that I'm desperate about. One has not gone past the first chapter in ... a long time ... I'll PM you plot details, warnings etc, and you let me know what you're interested in and how much you can take one at the moment. Thanks again!

I'm not British, but I am quite self-educated and flexible in dealing with multiple English accents. I've been beta-ing my friend's fan fic, so I'm willing to jump up to the call.
