I saw this film just two days ago, and Maggie's wonderful in it - as always -, and now I'm just wondering if somebody knows where I can get it. Because I only saw it in German ( which is already great ! ), but I'd like to see it in English. And I couldn't find it on amazon and ebay here in Germany. So I just wanted to ask if maybe somebody knows a site where I could get this film - preferably on DVD, but video would also be okay.

I am really sorry to tell you this - especially since I love and adore that movie - but there is neither a dvd nor a tape for sale.  I only got a taped from tv-version from my dear Deputy Webmistress (for which I love her all the more). Since I cannot copy NTSC-tapes (since those idiots only produce vcrs with NTSC-playback here in Germany), I'm no help there either. Where do you actually live in Germany? I could lend it to you (with a heavy heart  ), but for a lasting copy, I'm afraid you have to ask around our British or American board members...maybe they can copy it. It is a real shame that it is not available...maybe we should start a petition at amazon? since they get the companies to release stuff if enough people sign up. What do you say? Sue |

Hey, I watched it too. Though I have to admit the dubbing voice was a little ... horrid. ;D But Mags was great, as always.
Petition at amazon sounds great to me.

i remember that too...the first time I watched it in German, i found it horrid...couldn't get over the dubbing voice...second watching i was able to ignore the dubbing and simply fell in love with the movie...but now with the original voices...i just love it all the more....so wonderful...so beautiful...so lovely...*sigh*

I'm trying to do that...a petition on amazon....petitions anywhere else, I dunno how to do.
However, checking amazon.com i found out that there are a few used VHS-tapes for sale...however, the prices are exorbitant, so that might not be an option...but we'll try....

Hi All,
I may have a solution for you for the time being. I actually own a copy of the movie and have the capabilities of dubbing the tape. I managed to tape it from a 'classics' movie channel.
I live in the US so the only thing we'd need to do is make sure your VCR is compatible with the NTSC format.
