Okay peeps, I know I'm not the only P&P fan in here so allow me to just go, "squeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!" over the new film for I just saw the trailer. When I first heard that Kiera Knightley was to play my beloved Lizzy, I was a bit skeptical, but she does a fairly good job from what I can tell from the trailer. I know this film will never touch the A&E/BBC miniseries, which is by far the best adaptation ever made (don't even get me started on the one from the 40s). But while Keira and Matthew MacFadyen (Darcy) are no Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, I think I will enjoy this one. If only for the fact that Dame Judi Dench is playing Lady Catherine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in fan girl heaven when I saw her in the trailer. I literally jumped up and down. Nothing against Barbara Leigh-Hunt, who did a fabulous job in the miniseries, of course. Okay, I think I've babbled on enough about this...I could go on for days probably. :-) If you're interested, check out Yahoo's P&P movie page: movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=info&id=1808657001- April :-)

Umm I don't know, I loved the one with Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant. Got Alan Richman as the Col as well. Gemma (Madame Pomfrey) is in it as well.

That one was "Sense and Sensibility", another great Jane Austen book. (Not sure if you have the two mixed up) I love that one as well. Alan is so dashing Colonel Brandon!

It's me again. Here's a pic of Dame Judi as Lady Catherine de Bourgh. "Miss Bennet, do you know who I am? I have not been accustomed to such language as this." - Chapter 56
I think she'll make a superb Lady Catherine. - April :-)

Come on, join the dark side. ;-) He's a guilty pleasure of mine. (And that was before I saw Alan in the wig!) Sometimes I wonder whether I'm a Slytherin with Gryffindor tendencies or a Gryffindor with Slytherin tendencies. :-)

Sometimes I wonder whether I'm a Slytherin with Gryffindor tendencies or a Gryffindor with Slytherin tendencies. :-) Me too... lol... Snape is wonderful in my oppinion.... I think that there is so much more to him than what JKR tells us... I mean, we see everything from Harry's POV, which is also the reason why we don't know for sure that AD and MM are married... ;D Cammie!!

I adore Alan in S&S.
Especially the scene when he says to Elinor "give me an occupation or I will shall ran mad" Ieehh.......the man has a voice of a god.
My sister has this great book, the movie script from S&S with a diary of Emma Thompson. In this diary she tells a story that the whole cast when out to dinner when a cat walks in. Everybody reacts like "oooh aaah a cat". Alan Rickman looks at it for a moment an then says "fuck off". It's so funny.
Buy and read. It a Hilarius book.
