Okay, I has been a WEEK and a half since a strike had started! And now I have to suffer for it and this means no school. AND I am absolutely bored out of my mind!!
I can't read no more because I'm bored of it and I don't want to write because there's just so much I can write. Also I don't want to spend the rest of this strike doing nothing but sitting on my arse watching the television.
I do excersie so don't worry about me doing nothing but sitting and eatting and getting fat. Any suggestions to what I should do to- to past the time of this horrible strike?? Because believe me, I'm open to 'em suggestions!

Whoa, who's on strike? Teachers? How bizzarre! Hmmm...what to do...? Are you into sketching/drawing/painting, stuff like that? You could buy some watercolor paper and coloring books and markers and such and go crazy! I like to do that in my spare time (when I have spare time, lol) amd it's really very easy, time consuming and calming. AL

You say you exercise... can't you try out a different sport, something outdoors for example? Other than that I don't have more suggestions, cause reading and writing always keeps me entertained...of course, I'm not the one sitting at home for a week and a half, I'm the one who is doomed to have about 5 minutes online each day, because I'm so busy.
Hope the strike ends soon...
You could start picking out/making Christmas presents. I know it's early but you said you were bored.

is there a little area near you like a square or mall. when i was bored over the summer i would walk to the nearby square and wander around. (there were a few shops and places with food). but i also agree with foci, it is never to early to start christmas shopping, i started about...3 weeks ago i think. ;D what is the strike about? ?

Okay it's the teachers that are on strike. And they are striking because they want smaller classroom size(I guess less students in the classes) and there's more but I don't know. Anyways this is an illegal strike and this could go on for a long time! The last strike that was like this was in the 80's I believe and it lasted the whole year. I just hoping it's not going be like that.
This is going to be so stressfull for me (grade 10s) and the grade 12s. We have exams to do.
I can't paint eheheheh BUT!! I can make a mess with the paint and then get grounded but what's the fun in that eh? and it's cold outside as well it rains. But you never know when it's going to rain. As for shopping hmm......I'm not really a shopping kind of person. Just need to find a way to get money to do so. -_-; I'm going to go crazy if next week there's no school!!!!!!! Thanks so the suggestions. Anymore suggestions though?

Ahhh.. Lets hope it won't take them a year... As Amanda said painting/drawing is mega fun, and time consuming... And if you practise maybe you'll get better... Do you have a piano, guitar or something musical in the house? Cos then you could just sit around jamming... ;D Argh.. I'm lost for thoughts right now... P

Do you have any projects that you just don't have time to get around to normally? Cleaning out the attic? Scrapbooks? Re-papering the kitchen cabinets? Anything like that?

I just don't really have patience for Painting. I can't really focus on it if I tried. Crochet?? ummm...is that with the little hook thing and .....I think my grandmother taught me that but I need her here to teach me again hehehehe But she isn't I could knit I'm having a little cousin soon (YAY!!! Someone I can teach to pick their nose! JUST KIDDING!!) but how do you cast the stitches?? Knitting and Crochet is quite hard well for me It's like I need rocket science for it...or something like that. It really seems like I'm going back to school yay!! I won't complain if I get homework....well a least not this week next week sure. Lady Jolly
