Okay I know this isn't Harry Potter related. BUT!! It's being bugging me.
Anywho I've been wondering how the heck do you prenounce Ororo? Ororo Munroe she's Storm from the
X-Men. And I know that it isn't prenounced O-row-row but something else I don't know how and I've tried to look it up and everything except I don't have much time going over the X-Men movies but I not even sure if they say her first name.
Anyways does anyone know how to prenounce it properly? I would like to know. Thank you.

In the first X-Men movie, I believe Xavier says her name when he's introducing all the X-Men to Wolverine. He says it like Aw-roar-o, but that could just be the British accent. I usually say Oh-roar-oh. Not sure who's right. :-)

Thanks April! That has been bugging me for like almost half a year now probably more. Though I've always been busy and I never got to find out how it's pronounced. I wish they had the old cartoon of the X-Men...I like that one better than the Evolution. But anyways thank you! It a mouth full of O's hehehehe

She is my favourite Xmen character but her first name throws me a bit so I just refer to her as Storm lol

I love the original cartoon. It is definitely better than Evolution. They show the original on the Toon Disney channel. I wonder if they have them on DVD yet.
I like Storm too, but I will always have a soft spot for Gambit. He's my fave and I was hoping he would be in X3, but alas I was denied.

Dang...With all the channels I have I don't have that one. -_- oh well. What they don't have Gambit in the X-Men Movies yet. Whoa and he's like a valuable mutant. Silly people but anyways who's side was Gambit on? I know in the original cartoon he was on the X-Men's side but on Evolution he was on Magneto's side. And the comic I don't know I've never read it.

Alas! I have never seen the cartoons or the comic books, but I just love the films! ;D
Is there a third film? D*mn it! Despite these sexy British accents, we must wait in suspense for all the good flicks...

I liked the original cartoon better, but I don't get that station either. I've never read the comics, just seen the cartoons and movies. X-Men Evolution is on DVD; I saw it for sale at Target today.
A friend told me the trailer for the thrid movie is out, but I haven't seen it yet. Magneto and Wolverine are my favorite characters, in the movies and cartoons. I can't wait til the third one finally arrives!!!

Yeah I know! I'm just waiting for X3 to come out. also another good movie that's going to come out is Underworld: Evolution is coming out too but next year ;D (yeah that's not far either) I hope I don't forget to see those movies...

There is a teaser trailer out for X3. If you have the lastest version of the Quicktime movie player, you can find the trailer here I think: www.apple.com/trailersI think it's supposed to come out here in the US in May '06. The Gambit I know and love is an X-Men. I haven't read all the comics, so it is possible that Gambit may have switched sides at some point. I really liked the first one, even though I don't think it did very well at the box office. For a while, my husband and I were hoping Bill Nighy would play Voldemort after we saw his performance in Underworld as Viktor. - April :-) |
