I dunno if this should be in the Writing Help thread, or this one, so I posted it here.  Does anyone else have any weird quirks when they're writing? Personally, I can't have anything on my wrists or fingers, even hair-ties, and my hair has to be up. Just wondered if anybody out there was strange, also... And if they wanted to share that. ;D |

I tend to be driven. I need to finish things in one sitting or I might loose interest...

I have to have my hair put up in a ponytail. If it's not, my hair is a big distraction and I can't think correctly.
Also, if I'm writing but can't think of what to write next, I start "calling my muse". lol I'm really talking to myself to get back on track of writing, but I'll say things like, "Hey muse!" *taps paper* "I need help!".

Well, when writing fanfiction I have to write it out on paper berfore I type it up and I usually do my best thinking/writing while traveling in the car. When I do write in the car I have to have my cd player on (soon to be an ipod!) so I can't be destracted by the other people in the car.
oh yeah...my hair is usually in a ponytail when I write too, but that's just because I can't
stand it down for very long!

I always have to have my hair up when I write as well...I can't concentrate when it's down. And I've got to have music as well. I usually wind up typing because I'm generally shirking on regular assignments when I write stories.

 I always wear my hair down...and I always seem to associate a certain artist with a certain story, so if I'm continuing a story, I tend to listen to the same album I was listening to when I started it. |

I always tie my hair up, play music, usually find something I can suck on like a sweet (not sure why it helps) and it has to be done at my PC or laptop usually after a night of brainstorming (which is usually done in bed or maths)

If my hair's in anything otehr than a ponytail, it bothers me. I like music, but I usually ignore it once I start writing.
