Hey Riku here! I was wondering about something, I'm guessing we all like Harry Potter. So besides the wonderful series by J.K Rowling what other books do you all like? My other favs are: The Bartimeaus trilogy (all three books) Narnia (long book but worth it) Eragon (also a trilogy) Eldest (second book after Eragon) A Series of Unfortunate Events (all of them) Goosebumps Really I'll read anything with fantasy, horror(always gets scared), adventure, and humor. Its got to be interesting though. My friends think I'm strange because lots of times I choose books by the cover. I have to stop that...
Oh I also read a lot of manga. (sort of like comic books, Japanese style but way better) Later, Riku

Well well took my idea, eh? No I'm just kidding. I like The Bartimaeus Trilogy too, I'm the one who recomended it to you! Anyways I just finished a book called "Freaks" its really weird, dog faced girl loves normal boy, boy would like to kiss a girl who didn't get hair up his nose. Very strange but great another book I recomend to you! ~James~

Ooooh. Well my tastes have changes a bit recently, I used to be completely into fantasy as a kid but a lot are too young for me to enjoy anymore and I've started to read crime novels and that kind of thing.
Fantasy:
His Dark Materials - Phillip Pullman The Wind on Fire Trilogy - William Nicholson Artemis Fowl etc - Eoin Colfer Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen and the days of the week series which I'm sure has an actual name - Garth Nix
I also love in my less childishness
Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown but his others books less, it gets repetitive PJ Tracy Val McDermid Stuart Macbride

It was a book first (a good book even though the set up was the same as Angels and Demons) by Dan Brown. I recommend it-great summer read. Also- I love anything my Agatha Christie. Her stories are so amazing. I just finished "Cards on the Table".

OMG! How could I forget Dan Brown! Angels and Demons was the best, closely followed by the DaVinci Code and Digital Fortress. Deception Point was a little slow, but quite good as well.

I love Angels and Demons, though.

As a history student at uni level I haven't got much time to read...but I loved Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian and Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. Also have just finished Europe Central, which was interesting but a bit odd. Anything Ian Pears is good as well, especially An Instance of the Fingerpost. Besides that, your usual dose of classics and comp lit reading assignments, I guess.
