Hi everyone, I know that it's rather off-topic but I think there are some Judi Dench fans out here,right? Just came back from London yesterday, and I saw her in Hayfever on Monday and Tuesday night. Yes, I had to go twice... was actually only planned once but well. *g* Was way too taken with her not to try to get another ticket, and so I did. As you can tell by my banner... I am a huge Dame Judi fan.
Oh I am so jealous!! To see DJD not once but twice on stage! Thank you so much for sharing your pictures. Did you actually speak with her? I understand that she is just as wonderful in person as everyone imagines her to be.

Well I love As Time Goes By, so I guess that counts as being a fan. I do think she is a very clever actor, but I haven't seen her in very many things.

I've just recently become a fan, but I've become a HUGE fan...you're so lucky to have been able to see her onstage! I wish she'd come to New York, then I might have a chance  *L |

Actually that was what made me curious about her so I just had to buy the ticket to the play. Originally I had only planned to go once, so I bought a ticket for the stalls... Then I was so taken by her and the play (which is absolutely hilarious, btw) that I just had to go again. *g* Yeah, me being an oddball.  ;D I talked to her very briefly only but she was very kind. Was on the second evening, and cause I enjoyed the play so much I had sent her flowers before the performance. Had a card included. When I asked her to make the autograph for Rikki, she remembered that it was me who had sent the flowers and said thanks and all.  But she really is great, both as an actress and at the stage door. No fuss, just really friendly no matter how often people came back, claiming that their pics with her hadn't turned out well. Guess the poor woman must have been blind by then cause there were so many of them, so I didn't ask her for one. |

Wow...that's so cool you got to talk with her. She's amazing...I love her and maggie in "Ladies and Lavender" and her other work is great too. She's so beautiful.

LiL wasn't really my kind of movie but I just loved Judi in Mrs Henderson and Mrs Brown. ;D

No, I won´t ;D I hope you´ll like it, but then again: it´s Judi and they are all doing soooo brilliantly, even Allistar. Oh, you´ll like it hm...Any other Judi movies...I bought Chocolat recently, for 2.99€ at Weltbild |

Is anyone else going to see Judi on stage in Stratford? Not sure if Lies has told you (though I guess that she did *g*) but we're going in about 3 weeks time. *yay* ;D
