For those of you who don't know, I was in a car accident the yesterday. I hit my head on the windshield and my body hit the dash board.
We were turning off onto a road and missed it. There was a rather deep ditch that we went off into. I, being the idiot I am, wasn't buckled up and slammed up against the front of the car and got a concussion, many bruises on myself, and, as I was getting out, I think I fractured my ankle.
When we lunged off into the ditch, we got air born. Thank God, because if we hadn't, I would be in the hospital for flying out of the windshield and landing in a tree. (The front end of the car landed in the same tree.)
I'll have pix up later and will show you were my head hit the glass. Oh, and for those who want to know, the car's totaled.

Yeah, they're fine as well. My brother in law to be, Anthony, was behind me and tried to grab me before I hit the dash and the windshield. My sister, Robin, was driving and hit the steering wheel, as well as trying to grab me. The stupid air bags didn't deploy, but I'm glad they didn't because I would have been more injured if they had.

o....wow. I hope everybodys okay. Thats really sucks. I hope that your ankle gets better. I hope that everybody else is perfectly fine too. Was there a reason that the air bags did not go off? Thats odd.
Hope you feel ALOT better soon.

Strange...The same thing happening to us, save the ambulance ride and the shock. Hope you're alright as well. Yes, we're all ok. The air bags...I don't know why they didn't deploy. Freaked me out a bit, smacking my head as hard as I did.

I'm fine. it wasnt my fault though. I had to park in front my house because i had dance later and I didnt want to deal with my garage. I had already parked and was about to get out when i noticed the car behind me, so i waited. Next thing i knew the guy crashed into me and the impact pushed me into an oncoming car. My 1965 candy apple red mustang convertable is totaled. the ambulance ride was fun, the guy kept asking me questions. i was amazingly unhurt. but i went into shock when i got to the hospital. all in all considering the damage to my car, i am very lucky, I got to go school today and dance tonight. i hope you are ok and dealing with this ok too.

Wow....We just flew off into a ditch......Ok, Flying of into a ditch is BAD, but....you're car. I'm so sorry. We were in a 92 Buick Le Sabra that had been painted camo before we soaked the thing in laquer thinner and scratched all of the spray paint off with razor blades. I'm fine. I found out I have a cracked ankle, whiplash, and a weird recurring concussion, but other than that. I'm just a little sore, scratched, and bruised. The weird thing is, the state trooper that took care of our report didn't even call an ambulance. He jsut wrote out the $200 ticket and when on his way. When my parents came to get us, they passed us up because the car was so deep in the woods. It took the wrecker guy two tries to pull it out.

OMG you're lucky you're not more seriously injured. At least you waited before getting out of the car. A friend of my mom's was killed when she was hit by a police car after getting out of the car.

I'm glad everyone was ok. Car accidents are very scary. Don't forget to buckle up though! (Sorry, I sound like such a mom, but it's been programmed into my brain to always wear a seatbelt.)

Wow. I saw the pics and imagine you must have had one shocker of a headache after that. I'm glad you're OK, you're very very lucky that it wasn't any worse! I can't believe that the police didnt call an ambulance - especially if you were injured like that! Head injuries can be very touchy things (says the nurse in me...)! Make sure you take care of yourself, and buckle up everyone!!!!
