According to Mugglenet, its a scene that focuses on her recovery after she was hit by the stunners. It appears to be a added scene for the movie as it does not happen in the book.
I love that her hair is softer looking and the new robes.

The new robes are nice. Being in the wheel chair after the stunners fits. (I'm personally wondering how the stunning scene will happen) I'm wondering why she is smiling, has she read the headline?

I agree with you emeraldtabby! It looks like they aren't shooting right then though so maybe the prop has a funny column on the back or they were talking about something.
I never thought about her being in a wheel chair. She wouldn't want to appear weak in fron of the students would she? I thought she just had a cane.

I hate it. Her heair isn't in a proper bun! She would never, ever, ever be in a wheelchair in front of students in particular. She wouldn't want to look so fragile. Robes are nice, they don't look very green to me though.
Oh yeah, and they just made up that scene!

I don't think they're shooting of course, so maybe they'll fix everything (the hair!) before they do. I'd rather her not be in a wheelchair, though. That makes her appear.... weak.

I totally agree that she would never use a wheelchair; even if she needed it, I'm sure the only way the Healers would get her in one would be to strap her in! And also, if she has a wheelchair instead of a cane, what will Peeves use to chase Umbridge out of the castle? I love that bit!

Why do I get this funny feeling this movie isn't going to be that great??

I think her hair looks nice-not her usual bun, but there could be a plot bunny lurking around about how to explain that... I really like the scene where she returns to the castle and has Crabbe & Goyle carry her stuff and also when she lets Peeves use her walking stick to smack that toady hag, but I'm willing to let them play around a little with it. I mean, if they hadn't played with the fourth movie she and Albus might not have danced together. The movies will never be as good as the books, so I'm not going to get really upset if they don't do an amazing job.

Maybe she's in the wheelchair so when Albus comes back she can jump out of it and run to him. ;D
And the robes are snazzy, btw. hehe

At first I thought It was just random People being insane, But a sencond look , It is them Filming. I hate the idea of her in a wheel chair!!! SHe is Minerva, not some incredablely weak person. O well. WHo knows. It might turn out to be an awesome sence. I can't wait for it to come out. ^__^
NIce beMMADfabulous. Really nice. =] I also like the robes. The bun buggs me soo much though. It really dosent look like MInerva. IDK mabye thats just my opinion.

Aww, come on. I've been in a wheelchair before, and I wouldn't really appreciate the idea of being seen as 'weak' for that reason. Everybody's got a breaking point, and though I'll admit that Min's made of stronger stuff than most, she's also obviously very intelligent and knows enough of what she's worth to the school to make sure she doesn't incapacitate herself further with unnecessary pushing. I agree with childminerva; the movies will never be as good, so I don't mind if they play. Besides... it's always interesting to see another person's take on a story you know from back to front. It adds an element of surprise.

The cane is a better idea to me. Aside from the fact it would make Minerva look weaker but how in the world would she get it around Hogwarts? There are too many stairs. The only up point would be Albus would get to push her (sadly no Peeves chasing the Toad).

Maybe Albus has to carry her up the stairs!! That would be nice, although I don't think they would play with it that much... *sigh*

That may be a fair poitn, Virtuoso, but we all know that min is the strong one. She would feel weak, whether or not it's correct or fair.
Oh yes, that and the books. My real problem is that they made it up!

I actually like her hair but I'll agree its not canon.
I really like the idea of Albus pushing her wheel chair (nice image mcgonagallrocks) but I still just can't see her in one.

Maybe it is just a quick scene showing her recovery and then they will have her w/ a cane in an additional scene where Draco and Harry meet at the entrance. I would like to see someone *mainly* albus carry her up the stairs

yes, her hair. It looks softer but I prefer it in a bun. Love the robes and I like the glasses. I do not think that Minerva would like to be in a weelchair in front of her students. But of course, about the stairs, Albus can carry her *giggle* I always loved the part where Peeves used the walking stick. therefore I am a bit disapointed, the movies will never be as good as the books. I was just wondering where the pictures were found. Mugglenet.com, they were up sometime (last week?). They should be up under movie 5 set pictures. There are some of Tonks too-not sure what I think of her look. Not what I imagined...but then they really screwed up with Lupin so whatever.

My real problem with the wheelchair other than the fact it's not cannon and Min isn't the kind of person to use one is why in the world would you have one in Hogwarts? Ok Albus can carry her up the stairs but he can't be with her all day (sadly). The the first book said Hogwarts had like 142 stair cases(yes I looked it up). A wheelchair just makes no sense. The cane is better.

I acutally don't have an issue with the chair. I think it's a nice way to emphazise it i'm so looking forward to this film !! It also shows someone has been giving Maggie's scenes some thought always a good sign.

I must agree with angel dust on that one. Also, I looked for the pictures on Muggle.net, but couldn't find them under the picture movie section. Were they found somewhere else on the site?

I think it's a relief to see Maggie Smith on set! I don't know, maybe the wheelchair is a little off character but, I've always thought that the major problem with the movies is not exactly a characterization one (that's only my opinion), so I'm not really worried about the scenario and stuff 'cause I think the movies are visually OK. It also shows someone has been giving Maggie's scenes some thought always a good sign. I really agree with you angeldust. Maggie Smith is a wonderful (excellent, magnificent, etc) actress, if she has long & well-thought scenes, I'm sure the movie will be at least OK. I think her hair looks nice-not her usual bun, but there could be a plot bunny lurking around about how to explain that.... And finally, childminerva, dear... I'm still laughing with this comment!!
