If my web sources are indeed correct-I have some very sad news...one of our members died over a year ago and I just found out this morning. bkwmnjan is listed as having a birthday today-I clicked on her profile then visited her fanfiction site where I read a great ADMM fic. I went to see what others had said on the comments page and according to a person claiming to be her sister, bkwmnjan, or Jan, died January 19th, 2005. If you'd like to read the comments concerning her death the link is here. If you knew her online you may want to email her sister. us.geocities.yahoo.com/gb/view?member=bookwmnjanHer ADMM fic can be found at this link-it's very angsty and includes many refrences to rape, but it is very well written and I think a very fitting reminder of Jan's writing. www.geocities.com/bookwmnjan/fanindex/iknow.htmlI just wanted to make everyone aware of this sad news and to encourage the members of this site to include Jan's family in your prayers (or whatever) as they go through her birthday without her. She would have been 48 today.

... That has to be about the most depressing thing I've ever seen. You know, I have sometimes wondered what would happen if a writer - or indeed, anybody with an online existence, died suddenly without an warning. Who would know the passwords to inform folks of what happened? Would someone's MSN contacts think them rude? It's a horrible idea, and a dreadful reality.

I've thought of that before too. Like if something happened to me (fingers crossed that nothing does!) none of my online friends would know because my parents and RL friends don't know much about my online stuff.
