Looks like it is confirmed that Maggie Smith will be in a London West End play in 2007. Either one starts saving money now or starts praying that a production carries over to Broadway after the London run. query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F02E5D7113EF933A0575BC0A9609C8B63&n=Top%2fReference%2fTimes%20Topics%2fPeople%2fR%2fRobertson%2c%20CampbellHere's the excerpt from the site: 'The Lady From Dubuque'' will show up in London next year. Robert Fox and Elizabeth I. McCann announced they were planning to present a revival of Edward Albee's play about three young couples at a party and the odd pair that visits. Anthony Page, who most recently directed the critically praised revival of ''Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?,'' will direct, and Maggie Smith will play Elizabeth, a role originated by Irene Worth in the play's brief life on Broadway in 1980. No theater has been announced, but the plan is to start previews in February.

Yippie. ;D Found an article today stating that only the venue and time still have to be confirmed but apart from that it seems rather definite. Article can be found here: www.FabulousDames.com/Mags/maggienews.htm

I want to feel pleased about this but Wikipedia's "Maggie Smith wants to do a play "in between" her Harry Potter filming commitments" suggests that this play might interfere with Half Blood Prince. And that doesn't really evoke optimism.
