 I don't even watch Battlestar Galactica and yet I ship these two...any other shippers out there? What are your favorite moments from the show (that feature these two)? How do you think their relationship will evolve as the show goes on? I can recommend some great fics and fan vids to anyone interested, btw. |

I love BG, both shows the old (Apollo fan-Richard Hatch rocked as did the Music) and the new(It took a while, I didn't like it at first. It seemed to stylized, especially the battle scenes. It was the characterization that won me over.)
Adama/Roslin is a great ship too.
Fav Moments-the kiss, when she's in his bunk, they're talking, and all the stuff with them on New Caprica.
Evolve, just the way it has I hope, very subtly.
Recommend away.

Okay...recs. Fanfiction: By far the best is Conflagration. It's very sexy, though I think the M rating is a bit high. The second best, because it will make anyone laugh... When Laundry Misbehaves. The Arrangement. The idea seems a bit cliche, but there are some wonderful moments...it is addicting, I couldn't move away from the computer until I'd read it all! Good Intentions. This fic is just...let's just say I couldn't stop grinning. Holding a Flame. This one isn't finished yet, but it's off to a great start! Dating the President. Again, this one is just getting started, but I can tell it's going to be great! Fanvids: There are so many on youtube...I have about 50 in a my Roslin/Adama playlist. The best one ever (I posted it on my xanga), Something ThereThe funny ones...these will make you grin, even if you don't know anything about these characters. CandymanCome on, BillThe angsty ones...because this is not a fluffy ship. whoops, just found another... Life StationNo gimicks, just romance. Perfect. It did remind me a bit of the Perry/Della romance from the PM books - the way this author sets up the scenes between them. |

OMG... I ADORE Bill and Laura! They are my #1 ship! (followed closely by this one, of course :-)) I was just having a discussion on a board the other day about how these two pairings are so much alike.
forums.scifi.com (otherwise known as Skiffy) has a great A/R forum to talk about these two, if anyone is interested.

Oooh, BSG... I resisted that show relatively long, seeing how I'm a big SF geek, but now I got hold of season 1 and I'm really impressed. It's so well-done and realistic and I am definitely in love... ... with the show and with Laura  . No, okay, so apart from this sadly unreciprocated (I misspelled that on so many different levels...) crush, I totally ship Bill/Laura. I think they're great together. |

Ooo! A A/R thread! Awesomeness! I love them both... Honestly, it depends on the episode I watch and other...uh...shallow things, in order for me to decide which one I fancy more. *Sigh* The only issues I have with the show is the hiatus. It is murder! And the supporting cast, cos dammit... It's all about Laura and Bill. |

This ship is amazing because it's the only ship that has ever drawn me out of the HP world long enough to write a fic about them.
Since we're on the subject...monsie makes some amazing B/L vids on youtube and fullmetalfrakker (hello...I didn't know you were on this site!) has B/L and ADMM fics on ff.net!
And yes, the hiatus is murder...but I have enough plot bunnies to keep me going until then!

A thousand apologies for the double post...but I thought that those of you (like myself) who are suffering through the BSG haitus would appreciate this. I found a livejournal page (some of you may be familiar w/ it) where some fans have taken it upon themselves to review all the previous episodes starting from the mini up until season 4. I'm actually not that hung up about the lack of A/R atm. I've taken on a change in tactic for my lack of A/R-ness - I got a new ship. Lol. I am still reading, I think, two WiPs though. The Missing Year by Chilipip and Too High A Cost by Mariel. Oh and I'm hanging out on the A/R thread on the Sci Fi board. A few people recommended it when commenting on my videos, so I finally got around to checking it out. And that's about it. |

The author of Too High A Cost is a friend. So she'll love that I'm pimping her stuff out. And she is an excellent writer. Read Brick Wall Surprises. The beginning of that story, imo, is exceptional! I adore it. The imagery she uses is brilliant.
I haven't read Missing Year for a bit. RL and fangirling other things have been taking up my time.

I'm over there too, under the name miss mcGonagle. and just as a side note...my computer wallpaper is the S4 poster of the cylons in the middle w/ the four "heros" looking back at them, the usual. Only I chose a wallpaper size that didn't fit my screen so that I have the full pic plus a small slice of the pic to the side of my screen that only has Bill and Laura...'cuz I'm not obsessed or anything. |

I think you mentioned your ff.net account to me... I think. I don't remember now. I haven't been on there that much really. I never am. Only when I feel like reading some fanfiction, which is not all that often. Reading is time consuming and often I have a lot of Uni related stuff that I should be reading instead. Like now, actually. Lol.
I procrastinate too much.
Lol @ your wallpaper. I'm using my brother's laptop atm. He's got... You know, I have never noticed. *checks* Oh, it's the Microsoft moon wallpaper.
The promo pictures for season four will be a joy to see after all these months. I hate the hiatus!

I've tried to comment on youtube and either it won't work or i've done it twice but either way What a nice music vid my only problem was being Welsh every time I see the name Delilah I think of Tom Jones but I soon got over it <g>.

It's incredibly annoying isn't it? I wish they would just air the bloody show already. Or by the time they actually do I will simply not be interested anymore... I really am beginning to feel like I could just read what happens and be satisfied by that.

Ah, Adama/Roslin is my OTP. I love them. I watched Battlestar Galactica from the start and only started shipping them at the end of Season 2/start of Season 3...so I just had to go back and watch it all again. I think Ronald D Moore created their relationship perfectly. And as much as the last episode killed me (I'm not gonna spoil it for those who haven't watched it or haven't watched the show, but might in the future) it was just perfect!! I tend to always ship the parents figures! Adama/Roslin, ADMM, Coulter/Asriel (in Phillip Pullman's Dark Materials), Carlisle/Esme (in Twilight)...in fact you could say that the majority (not all to be fair though) are parents ships, even ones like John/Elizabeth in Stargate Atlantis. lol EDIT: lol after all that rambling I didn't even mention my fave moments. My fave would have to be ALL their scenes in Unfinished Business. But most scenes with them in I adore! |

I noticed how, in the episodes I've watched so far) they tend to act like a bickering couple, with Apollo smack-dab in the middle xD
