hmmm... This is hard... I look up to quite a few people, fictional and non-fictional. Arya, Sienna Guillory, Maggie Smith, Gillian Anderson, Minerva McGonagall. I really like their personalities and the way they handle things. =)

I'm with you gryffindorprincess, I really look up to Kate Mulgrew. She always seems so kind and confident, but unlike most people her confidence never seems to come of as fake and I think that's just wonderful. I also love the passion she seems to have when she talks about anything she cares about. And she ain't a half bad actress =)

Man, you guys are going to think that I'm weird lol. Of course I love Maggie to death because of her acting skills and personality.
I also idolize Anne Rice, not just because she's an excellent author but because she's never been afraid to speak her mind and go her own way. I mean, really, it takes a lot of nerve and balls to go from writing vampire literature to writing about Jesus, but she did it. Plus she writes back to her fans when they send her e-mails, which shows that she truly appreciates them. That can't be said of the majority of famous people.
And I love Janice Dickinson because she's just like me. Loud, opinionated, not afraid to be a bitch and tell people what she thinks of them.

Well, a lot of you probably haven't heard of her, but one of my idols is Nancy Wake, nicknamed 'The White Mouse' by the Gestapo. She helped organise escape routes in France during WWII and saved the lives of hundreds of allied troops and was a spy for the resistance. I saw an interview with her and she is such an amazing person who has done these incredible things and yet doesn't have a huge chip on her shoulder in the slightest. Then there are a lot of women I know personally who are amazing and I definitely idolise them a it.
Fiction-wise it becomes a little difficult. Carol Jordan from the Val McDermid novels is pretty awesome. Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. Cathy from Wuthering Heights (the line 'I am Heathliffe' anyone?. I love that line!

My mom... She's a single mom She just finished up student teaching this fall semester and teaches at a private school. She makes less than the poverty level but still manages. also, she puts up with my dad not following the legal agreements they made when they divorced. Oh yeah , she takes care of my kitty.
